Episode 4 of Dispatch, “Restructure,” combines a carryover from the Episode 3 roster cut, several relationship conversations, a choice between Waterboy and Phenomaman, and a final date with either Invisigal or Blonde Blazer. Most early dialogue changes only the scene; the roster and date choices have the clearest practical impact. Guides differ on how much recruiting Waterboy or Phenomaman changes later story events, so treat exact long-term consequences as unsettled.

What carries over from Episode 3?

The team cut you made in Episode 3 shapes the opening prank and the first dispatch shift. Depending on that choice, Punch Up or Malevola is described as the prank’s primary instigator. Chase then asks Robert how he feels about the cut; the available responses are reported to have no meaningful later consequence. Gamepressure’s Episode 4 guide and Games.gg’s walkthrough also report that the hero associated with the cut may leave during the first shift, leaving fewer heroes available for calls.

Which early dialogue choices matter?

Testing the Mecha Man suit

Choose Shadow Box, Split Kick, or Jumping Jacks for a short demonstration. The guides describe these as variations on a comic scene, not as major branching decisions. TheGamer’s walkthrough and Gamepressure’s guide list the options.

Invisigal’s personal question

When Invisigal asks a personal question, the listed replies include “All the time,” “Why do you want to know?” and “Never.” The guides characterize these answers as low-impact.

Blonde Blazer’s outfit

The first response to the wardrobe issue is not reported to have a lasting effect. When Robert gives his opinion on Blazer’s appearance, “Incredible” is reported to improve her relationship; “You look tucked in” and “Kinda pretty, I guess” are described as neutral.

Checking on Phenomaman

Blazer asks Robert to check in with Phenomaman. Supportive replies include “Don’t extinguish the sun,” “Do you have a therapist?” and “I’ve had those days.” The guides describe these as having little or no consequence.

Later, Phenomaman asks whether Blazer is seeing someone. If Robert kissed Blazer earlier, “I kissed her” becomes an available answer. Guides report that confessing costs relationship standing with Phenomaman, but differ on the immediate follow-up; the precise response is not consistent across their accounts.

How does the first dispatch shift work?

The earlier team cut can leave the shift short-handed when Malevola or Punch Up departs. That matters because calls are resolved through hero abilities or stat checks, and the available roster can limit your options. Gamepressure lists these calls for the shift:

  • Moving Away
  • Join the Cult
  • A football-game brawl
  • A car driven off a cliff
  • Nostalgically Yours
  • Moving In
  • Demolition
  • Substitute Teacher
  • Criminal Minds
  • Superhero Squabble in Aisle 9
  • Theatrically Yours
  • Hero Training
  • Furniture, Assemble
  • Dog Walking
  • Comically Yours
  • Dog Finding, which may appear if Dog Walking fails

Walkthrough recommendations include sending Flambae to Nostalgically Yours, using Sonar for a solution to Join the Cult, and dispatching Prism to Superhero Squabble in Aisle 9. These are guide recommendations rather than guarantees for every roster or outcome. For the full call-by-call checks and alternatives, see Gamepressure’s Episode 4 call guide.

Does the lunch choice matter?

After Flambae throws food at Waterboy, Robert can throw spaghetti or a protein shake. The guides say the scene converges either way: Flambae remembers Robert’s response, but the choice has no other major consequence.

Should you recruit Waterboy or Phenomaman?

This choice determines which hero joins the team, changing the roster available for dispatch and the character interactions that follow. Guides agree that the scenes differ but disagree about the size of the later story consequences: Gamepressure says the selection affects extra scenes rather than the broader story, while Games.gg describes it as a permanent choice that changes later scenes and the story path. The exact downstream branch is not established consistently enough to promise a particular later outcome.

Consideration Phenomaman Waterboy
Starting capability and growth Gamepressure characterizes him as an experienced hero with strong Combat, Vigor, and Mobility. Gamepressure characterizes his starting stats as low, with room to develop.
Roster effect Phenomaman joins and is available for dispatch. Waterboy joins and is available for dispatch.
Character scenes Produces interactions involving Phenomaman. Produces interactions involving Waterboy.
Exact long-term story impact Guides disagree on the scope; a full-season branch consequence is not established.

For a practical decision, weigh the calls you still need to cover, the character interactions you want to see, and whether you prefer a stronger starting hero or a character who can develop. The available guides do not establish a universally superior choice.

What happens in the second dispatch shift?

Gamepressure lists these calls in the second shift:

  • Stop the Assassination
  • Hero Training
  • Subscriber Recruitment Day
  • I Need a Hero
  • Mascot Match-Up
  • Discern the Target
  • Assassination Takedown
  • Baby Kaiju Attack

The guide provides stat checks and conditional solutions for these calls, including a hacking sequence for Discern the Target. Their resolution depends on the heroes and checks available in your run; see the call-by-call walkthrough for those details.

Should you choose Invisigal or Blonde Blazer for the final date?

The episode ends with a choice between a movie with Invisigal and dinner with Blonde Blazer. The movie scene offers several relationship responses; dinner with Blazer includes an opportunity to kiss her. The choice points toward the relationship you want to pursue and gives you a different scene. The guides do not establish that each individual line in either scene independently locks a route.
