The Alters did not arrive in the early-2025 window originally announced: 11 bit studios later set its release for June 13, 2025, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The early-2025 delay was itself a change from the game’s planned Q4 2024 launch.
How The Alters’ release date changed
11 bit studios’ 2024 annual report says The Alters was first planned for Q4 2024, then postponed to Q1 2025. The report says the studio wanted more time to refine the game, address feedback gathered during earlier presentations, and improve the title’s visibility before launch. 11 bit studios’ 2024 annual report is the source for that explanation.

The schedule shifted again in 2025. The studio announced in mid-February that the game would arrive sometime that year, then gave a specific date on April 10: June 13, 2025. The annual report and release announcement establish the sequence, but do not give a specific reason for the further move from Q1 to the June date.
The confirmed release date and platforms
In its April 10, 2025 announcement, 11 bit studios stated: “The Alters will launch on June 13, 2025, arriving on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and day one on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.” The date was global, according to the studio’s announcement. Read the April 10 announcement.

The studio’s regulatory report names Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Xbox Store, and PlayStation Store among digital distribution platforms, and identifies Game Pass as a launch-day access option. The regulatory report documents those distribution routes.
What the game is about
In The Alters, Jan Dolski is stranded on a hostile planet and must create alternate versions of himself—“alters”—shaped by paths he did not take. The PlayStation listing describes it as a sci-fi survival game, with alters who have distinct skills and emotional depth. PlayStation’s product listing provides additional game details.

Official storefront pages list a PS5 Standard Edition and PS5 Pro Enhanced support on PlayStation, while the Xbox listing includes a Deluxe Edition. Those are digital store listing details; they do not establish that a physical boxed edition was available. June 13, 2025 is now a historical release date, not an upcoming schedule. 11 bit studios’ 2025 half-year reporting confirms that The Alters premiered on that date. The studio’s 2025 half-year report records the premiere.
