It maps each weapon to its reported price, stats, location, and unlock gate, then outlines a progression that avoids buying every intermediate gun. Prices and some stats differ between published guides, so check the current NPC shop display before spending.
How to read the gun stats
- Damage measures the weakening effect of a shot on a fish.
- Cooldown is the interval between shots; a shorter time allows more frequent shots.
- Control affects the catch minigame’s green bar. Higher control makes it easier to track the fish.
These stats serve different purposes, so the highest damage number is not automatically the best fit for every player or catch.
All 14 guns: reported locations, prices, and stats
This table uses Pro Game Guides’ roster and figures from its February 25, 2026 update, which includes the Jungle Update 1 additions. They are guide-reported values, not a verified catalog of the live October 2026 build. The same guide uses both “Forgotten Dome” and “Forgotten Deep” in its early-gun location descriptions.

Pro Game Guides’ Abyss gun list is the source for the table’s prices, stats, and location descriptions. Its count of 14 reflects that guide’s February 25, 2026 revision; it should not be read as confirmation that the live roster remains unchanged.

Why prices and stats may not match another guide
AllThingsHow’s February 9, 2026 guide reports different values for several guns. It lists Magroot at $75,000 rather than $47,500; Morveth’s Treasure at $82,500 rather than $79,500; Lost Spirit at $149,500 rather than $135,000; and Bob’s Plunger at $321,987 rather than $235,000. It gives Bob’s damage as 420 rather than 410. That guide also gives variable price or stat ranges for some early guns.
An Abyss Wiki search-result listing also differs on selected prices: it shows Banana at $290,000 and Bob’s Plunger at $321,987, while matching the cited guide’s $245,000 for Ruined and $460,000 for Wild. Because the Wiki page was not available for direct review and the guides disagree, use these figures as comparison points, not a substitute for the NPC’s current display.

A practical gun progression without buying every step
The guides’ suggested path is selective rather than a requirement to purchase every gun. It balances the upgrade against its cost and the effort needed to reach its seller or unlock.
- Start with Bottle Gun. It is the tutorial reward, so there is no listed purchase cost.
- Consider Beginner’s Gun as the first paid upgrade. The guide’s suggested route does not require buying both Starter and Advanced on the way to Air Rifle.
- Save for Air Rifle in Forgotten Deep. In Ancient Sands, Crossbow is a lower-cost interim option; Wasted is the guide-recommended mid-game jump if you can afford it.
- In Spirit Roots, weigh Magroot against the quest route. Morveth’s Treasure becomes available after Morveth’s questline, and Lost Spirit is another later purchase.
- For late-game options, compare Ruined and Bob’s Plunger. Ruined is the faster-shot, higher-control choice in the guide’s figures; Plunger emphasizes damage per shot. Ruined requires the Lost Captain questline, while Plunger requires delivering all rubber ducks.
- In the Jungle, compare Banana with Wild. Banana has the shorter listed cooldown, while Wild has the higher listed damage. Wild is gated behind King Monkey’s Quest 7.
These are guide-based recommendations, not results of independent weapon testing. Your best choice depends on whether you value damage per shot, shot frequency, control, or avoiding a particular quest or collectible gate.

What to check before spending
- Visit the named NPC and confirm the current price in the shop; published figures conflict.
- Check whether access depends on a quest or collectible, rather than assuming the displayed location is immediately available.
- Compare damage with cooldown and control instead of choosing on damage alone.
- Treat the 14-gun roster and Jungle Update 1 details as a dated guide snapshot, not an official live-game catalog.
