All Black Ops 6 maps in the official guide
The catalogue below reflects the maps displayed on the official guide page as accessed October 4, 2026. It contains 22 Core and 15 Strike Multiplayer entries, plus six Zombies maps. These catalogue entries and a dated seasonal count are different snapshots, so they should not be combined into one definitive current total.

How many maps are in Black Ops 6?
The answer depends on the date and what is being counted. At Multiplayer launch, Activision described 16 new maps: 12 Core maps for 6v6 and four Strike maps playable in 2v2 or 6v6. The launch briefing characterized those maps as small-to-medium, with traditional three-lane routes. Those figures describe launch, not the later seasonal catalogue.
In an October 9, 2025 Season 06 event article, Xbox Wire reported more than 40 Multiplayer maps and six Round-Based Zombies maps. That dated count does not match the 37 Multiplayer entries displayed on the official guide page accessed October 4, 2026. The sources describe different snapshots or counting conventions; neither establishes a single guaranteed live total for every playlist or update.

What is the difference between Core and Strike?
The official guide groups Multiplayer maps into Core and Strike. The launch briefing says Core maps support 6v6, while the four Strike maps in the launch set were designed for 2v2 or 6v6. It also describes the launch maps as small-to-medium, but does not establish that size description as a measurement for every later addition. Use the in-game playlist details rather than assuming that every map appears in every mode or team format.
Black Ops 6 Multiplayer game modes
The official guide provides mode guides for Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, Control, Headquarters, Kill Confirmed, Free For All, Kill Order, Gunfight, Face Off, and Grief. The launch briefing describes several core objectives and rules:

These descriptions cover the launch versions, not every later playlist variant. The official launch briefing says a playlist’s Info control shows its team size, maximum players, map size, available maps, and game modes. Check that panel before queuing if you need a specific map, format, or ruleset. Blizzard’s launch briefing gives that playlist guidance and additional mode details.

Activision presents Black Ops 6 as having Campaign, Multiplayer, and Round-Based Zombies experiences. Its product page says Zombies launched with two new maps; the current guide catalogue lists six. The October 2025 Xbox Wire article also described access to all six Round-Based Zombies maps for that event, but that event is not evidence of current subscription availability.
