The base effect is listed as always available; the named partner on your team enables the enhanced effect. The September 14, 2026 roster lists 106 abilities. To use one, check your hero’s current Team-Up and follow its in-game ability prompt: there is no single input that applies to every Team-Up.
How Team-Up abilities work
Each hero has two Team-Up abilities in the roster guide, and each entry distinguishes its base effect from its enhanced effect. The partner named in an entry matters for the enhanced effect; the guide describes the base effect as always active. That means a partner’s absence does not automatically make the listed ability’s base effect unavailable.
For the current hero-by-hero names and mechanics, see Dot Esports’ Team-Up roster, updated September 14, 2026 to include The Hood’s Season 10 Team-Ups. It lists 106 entries. Treat that as a dated snapshot, not a permanent roster: Team-Ups can change in seasonal and mid-season patches.
How to use a Team-Up in a match
- Check the hero’s two Team-Up entries. Identify which ability is available for your hero and read both its base and enhanced effect.
- Check the named partner. The partner must be on your team for the listed enhanced effect. The cited roster does not establish that the partner must stand beside you or press a button.
- Use the effect as described. Some Team-Ups add an activated ability; others alter an existing attack or skill, or provide a passive-style benefit. The ability’s behavior determines what you do in play.
- Follow the live ability prompt. Check the displayed prompt and your own control settings for the activation binding. The published roster and official Heroes page do not establish one universal keyboard or controller input for all Team-Ups.
The official Marvel Rivals Heroes page labels Team-Up Abilities, Base Effect, and Enhanced Effect. Because its hero details are dynamic, use the in-game prompt and your settings to confirm the current behavior and binding.

Examples: what the partner enhancement changes
These examples show why it is useful to compare each hero’s base and enhanced effects rather than treating a Team-Up as simply on or off.

These mechanics are examples, not a strength ranking. For the remaining hero-specific names and effects, use the dated 106-entry roster linked above; do not assume that two heroes in the same pairing receive identical abilities.

How to compare two Team-Up choices
- Base utility: What does the ability do without its named partner?
- Enhanced payoff: What changes when that partner is on your team?
- Use pattern: Is there a new activated move, a change to an existing move, or a passive effect?
- Team context: Read the entry for its stated damage, healing, mobility, control, or survivability effect rather than relying on an unsupported tier ranking.
Why a roster date matters
Team-Up abilities are not fixed: official patch notes dated December 9, 2025 document both additions and changes, including the addition of Iced Out Diamond and the removal of Mental Projection. Those notes are historical evidence of roster changes, not a current ability list. Check the current in-game description after a patch, and use a roster with a visible update date when looking up names and effects.
