Khravengger is the signature weapon recommendation, while gear depends on whether you need more damage or enough Ultimate Gain to reach a useful rotation breakpoint. Team choices should help maintain Cryo Infliction rather than compete for it.
How Last Rite’s build works
Last Rite is a six-star Cryo Greatsword Striker whose damage loop centers on accumulating and consuming Cryo Infliction. The official Endfield operator roster includes her; the role and build details below come from guide publishers, not an official balance breakdown.
Prydwen’s guide, last updated June 14, 2026 and reviewed for Patch 1, describes her Combo Skill as both a damage source and a major part of her energy generation. It reports a 240-energy Ultimate cost, with the Combo Skill returning 40 energy plus 15 for each Cryo stack it consumes. On those guide-reported values, three stacks return 85 energy and four return 100. The guide also says she does not gain energy from teammates, making her own Battle and Combo Skills central to her Ultimate cycle. Her Combo Skill cooldown is reported as 8–9 seconds, so generating enough Cryo Infliction is often the practical limiter. See Prydwen’s Last Rite guide.
Best weapon and alternatives
Icy Veins identifies Khravengger as Last Rite’s signature weapon. Its listed effect grants Skill DMG and separate Cryo DMG bonuses when the wielder’s Battle Skill applies Cryo Infliction and when Combo Skill damage hits an enemy with Cryo Infliction. The listed buffs do not stack with themselves. The guide was reviewed for Version 1.4 on July 21, 2026; item rankings and availability can change with later updates. Details are in Icy Veins’ build guide.

| Weapon | Guide-listed role or effect |
|---|---|
| Khravengger | Signature recommendation; Skill DMG and conditional Cryo DMG bonuses tied to applying or hitting a target with Cryo Infliction. |
| Sundered Prince | Six-star side-grade that rewards Final Strikes. |
| Seeker of Dark Lung | More free-to-play-oriented option; its Attack buff is triggered by Cryo Burst. |
| Industry 0.1 | Four-star option that grants Attack after a Battle Skill hit. |

Best gear: damage or Ultimate timing
Prydwen recommends Tide Surge as Last Rite’s three-piece set and lists Tide Surge Gauntlets, two Hanging River 02 Tube kits, and Aethertech Plating among its recommended pieces. Its guide also distinguishes damage-focused gearing from setups that help reach an Ultimate sooner; which is better depends on the encounter and your rotation.
Rank #2
| Gear choice | When it makes sense |
|---|---|
| Aethertech Plating | Damage-focused option when you can align Last Rite’s Combo Skill and Ultimate with enemy Stagger. |
| Tide Fall Light Armor | Ultimate Gain option that may let her use two three-stack Combos before her Ultimate instead of a four-stack Combo followed by a three-stack Combo. |
| Lynx Gloves | Can add more Ultimate Gain; Prydwen says the swap is mainly worthwhile when it crosses a meaningful Ultimate breakpoint. |
| Type 50 Yinglung Light Armor | More consistent damage alternative when aligning around Stagger is difficult. |
Use Ultimate Gain only when the extra energy changes the rotation in a useful way. If it does not bring the Ultimate forward or improve its timing for the encounter, damage-focused pieces may do more for you. Prydwen’s recommendations and caveats are in its Last Rite guide.
Skill priority and rotation
Upgrade priority
Icy Veins recommends this order: Winter’s Devourer > Vigil Services > Esoteric Legacy of Seš’qa > Dance of Rime. Its rationale is that the Combo Skill and Ultimate are her main damage sources and drive Ultimate frequency, although the Battle Skill is used frequently.
Rank #3
Using Cryo Infliction
- Build Cryo Infliction with Last Rite’s Battle Skill and any teammate contribution that fits your team.
- Use her Combo Skill when the target has enough stacks. Prydwen advises using it at three stacks when energy per stack is the priority; waiting for four depends on whether that improves your energy breakpoint and rotation.
- Use her Ultimate when its damage and available susceptibility buffs line up with the encounter.
- Adjust the sequence with another Battle Skill or an extra Cryo stack from a teammate when needed to reach the intended Combo or Ultimate timing.
Icy Veins says Last Rite’s Battle Skill buffs the squad so the controlled operator’s next Final Strike summons a Last Rite mirage that deals Cryo damage and applies a Cryo stack. That makes Final Strike timing part of her stack-generation plan. Skill names and priority here follow Icy Veins’ guide reviewed July 21, 2026 for Version 1.4.
How to choose Last Rite’s teammates
A definitive current four-character best team is not established by the cited build pages. Instead, choose teammates by whether they improve Last Rite’s Cryo supply and rotation without consuming the resources she needs herself.
Rank #4
- Cryo Infliction generation: Prefer teammates who help maintain enough stacks for her Combo Skill.
- Combo and Ultimate support: Look for ways to improve the damage of those skills or make them arrive at a useful time.
- Resource economy: Consider whether the team can sustain skill use without slowing her cycle.
- Encounter needs: Weigh healing and survivability against using another slot for damage.
Prydwen cautions that spending Cryo in mixed-element reactions can compete with Last Rite’s own stack-consumption loop. Icy Veins’ profile, updated September 29, 2026, describes the Battle Skill’s team contribution; its separate build page does not supply a complete ranked lineup in the cited material. The recommendations are not all from the same update: Prydwen’s build guide displayed a June 14, 2026 update and Patch 1 review, while Icy Veins’ build guide was reviewed for Version 1.4 on July 21, 2026 and its profile page showed a September 29, 2026 update. Treat the specific mechanics and rankings as those guides report them, and check the current in-game descriptions if a later balance update affects Last Rite.
