What to know before following the map
- Some pins may not be immediately reachable. PC Gamer’s directions include locations requiring a climb or jump, one associated with stronghold access, and one gated by campaign progress. If a landmark appears to be on the other side of a barrier, check the full directions and return after opening the route.
- Expect visual concealment. Inspect tree lines, walls, ruins, narrow alcoves, and terrain edges around each pin rather than looking only for an altar in open ground.
- Do not infer a total stat reward from the guide count. Wowhead says each altar grants +2 to a stat, but its aggregate regional total is based on its disputed count of 33. The current aggregate cannot be established from the conflicting guide counts.
Are Scosglen altar unlocks account-wide?
Yes. Blizzard’s official patch notes state, “Altar of Lilith Unlocks are now account wide.” The same update made map discovery account-wide.
