PC Gamer’s Scosglen guide provides a numbered map and directions for all 34 locations. Use its map alongside the clues below: many statues are concealed by trees, walls, ruins, alcoves, or terrain changes. The accessible guide text does not provide coordinates, so these clues should not be treated as coordinates or used to rearrange the map pins.

- Eastern edge: Look behind tall trees in an alcove.
- Ruined building: Search inside the ruin.
- Beside a road: Check among dead trees.
- Abandoned village: Search its northeastern edge.
- East of Tirmair: Look behind a wall.
- Alcove: Check near tall trees.
- Narrow spit of land: Search the small strip of land.
- East of Maddux Watch: Look beside a climbable cliff.
- East of the Hive: Check a northern alcove.
- South of Whispering Pines: Search the area south of the landmark.
- Beside a road: Look among rocks.
- Southern roadside: Check an alcove against a wall.
- Locations 13–34: Follow the remaining numbered pins and full landmark directions on the PC Gamer map. The listed areas include Blood Vale, Moordaine Lodge, Caen Adar, Corbach, Penitent Cairns, Hope’s Light, Calibel’s Mine, and Tur Dulra.
Game8 groups Scosglen into these subregions: Deep Forest (1–4), Northshore (5–12), The Emerald Chase (13–15), Westering Lowlands (16–18), The Downs (19–21), Strand (22–24), Moordaine Lodge (25), The Shrouded Moors (26–28), and Highland Wilds (29–34). This is a helpful way to organize a sweep, but the accessible Game8 result does not independently verify every pin. See its Scosglen altar guide alongside the numbered map.
How many Altars of Lilith are in Scosglen?
PC Gamer’s 2024 guide and Game8’s 2025 result report 34; Wowhead’s guide, dated March 11, 2026, reports 33. Wowhead’s reader comments also flag a potentially missing altar and numbering discrepancies. These are guide counts, not live game data, and no direct in-game verification establishes the exact current total. For a practical search, work from the 34-pin map and check your map or altar progress as you go.

What to know before following the map
- Some pins may not be immediately reachable. PC Gamer’s directions include locations requiring a climb or jump, one associated with stronghold access, and one gated by campaign progress. If a landmark appears to be on the other side of a barrier, check the full directions and return after opening the route.
- Expect visual concealment. Inspect tree lines, walls, ruins, narrow alcoves, and terrain edges around each pin rather than looking only for an altar in open ground.
- Do not infer a total stat reward from the guide count. Wowhead says each altar grants +2 to a stat, but its aggregate regional total is based on its disputed count of 33. The current aggregate cannot be established from the conflicting guide counts.
Are Scosglen altar unlocks account-wide?
Yes. Blizzard’s official patch notes state, “Altar of Lilith Unlocks are now account wide.” The same update made map discovery account-wide. This describes the account-level persistence change; it does not establish every detail of seasonal or realm-specific progression. Read the Diablo IV patch notes for Blizzard’s wording.
