For a flexible Pogranichnik build in Arknights: Endfield, use Thermite Cutter and Frontiers gear, then pair him with teammates who build Vulnerability stacks. His Battle Skill can consume those stacks to apply Breach and return SP, so his value is not limited to personal damage. A high-investment Physical team pairs him with Chen Qianyu, Endministrator, and Lifeng; a more accessible lineup adds Ardelia for support and HP treatment.
What Pogranichnik does—and what his build needs to support
Pogranichnik is a six-star Physical Sword Vanguard. His basic attack has up to five sequences. When he is the controlled operator, its final strike deals Stagger; a finisher against a staggered enemy deals heavy Physical damage and recovers SP. This makes stagger windows and control time useful, but does not mean he must always be the team’s main damage dealer. Icy Veins’ Pogranichnik guide, marked updated July 21, 2026, describes these kit details.
His Battle Skill performs two slashes, applies Breach, and returns SP according to the Vulnerability stacks it consumes. Build those stacks with another operator first, then use Pogranichnik’s skill while the stack window is active. The cited Prydwen build guide says larger stack counts improve Breach’s strength and duration as well as SP return. That makes the sequence of team actions part of the build: a weapon or gear choice cannot compensate for repeatedly using the skill before Vulnerability is ready.
Ultimate and Combo timing
Prydwen advises using Pogranichnik’s Ultimate shortly before his Combo Skill when rapid soldier deployment is the goal, because Combo hits consume a stack. This timing can interfere with applying Fervant Morale to the intended operator, so choose the sequence based on the encounter and the buff target rather than treating it as a fixed rotation.
#1 Best Overall
Best weapon for Pogranichnik
Weapon rankings differ between guides and depend on team composition and role. Prydwen favors Thermite Cutter as the general option, while Icy Veins puts Pogranichnik’s signature weapon, Never Rest, first. Neither ranking should be treated as a patch-proof universal tier list.
| Weapon | When it makes sense | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Thermite Cutter (P0) | General-purpose choice in Prydwen’s ranking. It matches his attributes, provides ATK%, and its teamwide ATK buff can be triggered by his Combo Skills. | Prydwen’s assessment favors ATK% in the Physical teams it evaluates, where weapons and gear commonly supply DMG%. |
| Never Rest (P0) | Signature weapon and Icy Veins’ top pick; it gains Physical damage benefits after SP recovery. | Prydwen says it can overtake Thermite Cutter in a team lacking DMG%, but not in the teams its guide assesses. |
| Fortmaker (P5) | Consider for a Breach-support build focused on Arts Intensity. | Prydwen’s comparison lists it at P5. Its Arts Intensity and Ultimate Gain Efficiency can support that setup, but at a substantial cost to Pogranichnik’s personal damage. |
| Eminent Repute (P0) | A situational option when Pogranichnik triggers Breach at high Vulnerability stacks. | Prydwen describes its buff maintenance as less convenient and its attributes and buffing as weaker than the leading options in its analysis. |
Use the weapon that fits the job you want him to do: personal Physical damage, general team damage support, or Breach support. Refinement and the team’s existing damage buffs also matter. The game’s Matching Weapon feature can offer an in-game recommendation based on an operator’s skills and attributes, but it does not make third-party rankings identical.
Rank #2
Best gear and stat direction
Frontiers is a flexible baseline. Prydwen says Pogranichnik can activate it easily through his Combo Skill, though it is not his highest-damage or highest-support set. The listed combination is Frontiers Protection Suit, Frontiers Fiber Gloves, Frontiers O2 Tube, and a Hot Work Power Cartridge. Redeemer Seal is an alternative when needed to reach Ultimate thresholds, at the cost of Arts Intensity.
Choose pieces for the role
- Flexible baseline: Use the Frontiers combination when you want a generally useful set with activation that fits his Combo Skill.
- Breach support: Prydwen describes Hot Work as an option whose three-piece effect supplies Arts Intensity while retaining some Will for personal damage. Check current set effects and available pieces before committing to this setup.
- More personal damage: Icy Veins presents Type 50 Yinglung as a more personal-damage-oriented alternative to Frontiers, trading away some support potential.
- Early progression: Icy Veins lists Aburrey’s Legacy for Chapter 1 and AIC Light as a starter set. These can be more practical than pursuing an endgame setup before your account can craft it.
Compare candidate gear by personal Physical damage versus Breach support, access to Ultimate and SP/Combo cadence, and whether the set activates reliably in your team’s actual rotation. Exact suitability depends on progression, crafting access, and current set availability.

Best Pogranichnik teams
There is no single best team for every roster or encounter. The key questions are whether the lineup builds Vulnerability consistently, which operator spends the stacks, and whether the team can survive without dedicated healing. The team options below are recommendations from EnfieldBuild’s Pogranichnik build guide, marked updated September 20, 2026, rather than universal rankings.
High-investment Physical team: Pogranichnik, Chen Qianyu, Endministrator, Lifeng
EnfieldBuild frames this lineup around Vulnerability and Breach, with each operator contributing to building or spending stacks. It has no healer. A missed stack or poorly timed rotation can leave the team exposed, so favor it when fast clearing and coordinated stack timing matter more than sustain.
Rank #4
More accessible lineup: Endministrator, Chen Qianyu, Pogranichnik, Ardelia
The guide describes this as a standard-pool or story-oriented option. Chen Qianyu’s Lift builds stacks for Endministrator to spend with Crush; Pogranichnik can then use Breach on remaining stacks before they reset. Ardelia provides support and HP treatment, making this a more sustain-conscious choice.
Other guide-listed options
- Mi Fu, Chen Qianyu, and Pogranichnik: Flex the fourth slot toward Ardelia when healing is needed.
- Da Pan composition: Uses Lift and Crush with Pogranichnik and Ardelia.
For either option, verify operator availability and current skill details, then judge the lineup by roster access, stack consistency, Breach-versus-Crush timing, healing needs, and whether Pogranichnik is serving mainly as a damage dealer or support.

How to check current in-game systems
Gryphline’s official “Over the Frontier, Into the Front” update notes describe a Matching Weapon feature in the Operator–Weapons screen, which recommends weapons based on an operator’s skills and attributes. The notes also describe gear artificing changes: progress storage, guaranteed success after the progress limit, and a higher direct-success chance when Good Match gear is used as material. These changes do not validate a third-party character ranking; check the current game version and menus before relying on detailed system instructions.
