To beat Ai Nengqi, reach him at Rebel Camp, watch for the delayed slash after his leaping punch, and step out of the three ice lanes when he tears up the ground. When he jumps away to fire arrows, stop chasing and evade the spread or charged shot; attack again when the opening is clear. An axe-and-Lifeleech setup is one guide’s recommendation, not a proven best build.
Where to find Ai Nengqi
Ai Nengqi is at Rebel Camp. To open the route, defeat the armored soldier in front of the shrine for the Rebel Camp Key. Return to the shrine, take the nearby ladder down, follow the slope, and use the key to open the gate. This route is described by PowerPyx and Gamer Guides.
How to read his attacks
Neoseeker’s search-result excerpt describes Ai Nengqi as mobile despite his size. The page itself was not accessible, so these cues are attributed to that excerpt rather than presented as independently verified timing advice.
- Leaping punch: He jumps in and drops into a punch. A spinning sword slash may follow after a short delay, so be ready to dodge again instead of immediately counterattacking.
- Ice eruptions: When he plants a hand and tears up the ground, three lines of ice travel forward and diagonally. Retreat slightly and look for the space between the lanes.
- Arrow spread: After spinning away, he can fire six to eight electrified arrows. Move sideways or step between the arrows rather than holding your position.
- Charged electric arrow: The charged shot has a small area effect on impact. Avoid the impact area instead of relying on a last-second dodge through the shot.
These moves call for different responses: the punch may have a delayed follow-up, while the ground attack is about choosing a safe lane. Avoid committing to a long attack sequence until the cue has resolved.

Practical fight plan
Prepare to suit your progression
PowerPyx recommends an axe, investment in the Axe tree for Strength and Vitality, the “Bone Needle – Leech” skill, and Temperance on the quickslot to apply Lifeleech before the fight. Treat these as one guide’s suggested setup; what is available and useful depends on your character’s progression and the game’s patch version. If the fight feels punishing, the guide also suggests exploring side areas to gain levels before returning.
Pressure safely, then reset
- Apply Lifeleech before entering if you are using the suggested setup.
- Use charged heavy attacks or quick combos when Ai Nengqi is within reach and not beginning a cue. PowerPyx suggests taking advantage of Clash where applicable.
- When he jumps away to shoot, stop pursuing and focus on evading the arrows. Resume pressure only after the ranged attack has passed.
- After the leaping punch, account for the possible delayed spinning slash. After the ground-tearing cue, move out of the ice lanes before trying to punish.
The guides support two useful emphases rather than a single universally best build: PowerPyx favors axe pressure and Lifeleech, while the attack descriptions favor patience and learning each cue. Choose how much to level beforehand and how aggressively to attack based on your comfort with the moves; no controlled comparison establishes one approach as superior.
