If you mean Borderlands 3, its three themed seasonal events are Bloody Harvest, Broken Hearts Day, and Revenge of the Cartels. 2K said in its 2021 Crossplay Update announcement that players can access all three whenever and for as long as they like. Each has a different activity loop: hunt ghosts in Heck, shoot floating hearts during combat, or raid Villa Ultraviolet.
Can you still play Borderlands 3’s seasonal events?
According to 2K’s 2021 Crossplay Update announcement, Bloody Harvest, Broken Hearts Day, and Revenge of the Cartels are available whenever players choose, for as long as they choose. That means they are not confined to their original seasonal windows, according to the announcement.

The announcement describes the events as accessible at player discretion, but it does not establish a current menu path or exact activation steps for every platform. Check the running game’s event controls for the available toggles.
Which event should you play?

How do you start Bloody Harvest?
Bloody Harvest is a ghost-hunting loop that leads to a separate map and a boss fight. The event was described as free and playable with the base game in 2K’s 2020 event announcement.

- Find enemies marked by a green glow; these are haunted.
- Defeat them to spawn ghosts, then defeat the ghosts and collect the Hecktoplasm they drop.
- Return to Maurice and give him the Hecktoplasm.
- Enter Heck and fight your way to Captain Haunt.
How does Broken Hearts Day work?
During Broken Hearts Day, floating hearts appear above some enemies and can be shot. The effect depends on the heart: Xbox Wire’s 2020 event coverage gives examples including an incendiary explosion, temporarily turning nearby enemies to your side, and bonus loot. These are examples, not a complete list of possible effects.
Maurice tracks the hearts you break for rewards. The event therefore adds targets and effects to ordinary combat rather than sending you to a separate destination.

How do you activate Revenge of the Cartels?
Revenge of the Cartels takes you from encounters around the galaxy to a raid on Villa Ultraviolet. The sequence described in 2K’s 2021 return announcement is:
- Defeat Cartel Operatives when they appear around the galaxy.
- Collect the Hideout Coordinates they drop.
- Return to Maurice so he can open the route to Villa Ultraviolet.
- Fight through the Cartel gangs and confront Joey Ultraviolet.
2K’s 2021 announcement also said the event returned with new themed cosmetic rewards. It does not provide a current reward table here, so consult the running game’s challenges for the rewards currently shown.
