Riot set September 18, 2025 as the date Ranked mode would be enabled in the 2XKO Closed Beta. The beta itself began on September 9, so Ranked arrived during its second week. This was a Closed Beta feature date, not the game’s full release date.
When did Ranked mode launch in the 2XKO Closed Beta?
Riot announced that Ranked would be enabled on September 18, 2025, during the beta’s second week. The Closed Beta began September 9, 2025, according to Riot’s Closed Beta announcement. Riot published its “What’s New in 2XKO Closed Beta” announcement on September 8, 2025, and stated: “Ranked mode will be enabled on September 18, during the second week of Closed Beta.”
What happened to Ranked progress after the beta?
Riot said Ranked progress would reset after the Closed Beta ended. The announcement therefore described a beta-period progression system, not a promise that players’ beta Ranked progress would carry into a later release.
Is 2XKO Ranked available now?
No—not according to Riot’s later status update. Riot Support’s 2XKO Evergreen Transition FAQ says Ranked lobbies and placements were disabled on September 8, 2026, with patch 1.3.1. That later change is separate from the 2025 Closed Beta launch date. Riot also announced that active development would end in December 2026; that broader lifecycle announcement does not change when Ranked was enabled in the beta.
