Yes. For classic crime-scene work and witness interviews, start with L.A. Noire; for a role-playing detective story built around dialogue and choices, try Disco Elysium; and for supernatural neon noir, choose The Wolf Among Us Remastered. They share noir influences, but offer very different kinds of play.
Which noir game fits what you want to play?
| Game | What you do | How its noir works | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| L.A. Noire | Search crime scenes, pursue suspects, and interrogate witnesses. | Period crime detection in 1940s Los Angeles. | Players seeking a classic detective-procedural feel. |
| Disco Elysium | Investigate a murder through role-playing, dialogue, and choices. | A character-driven detective story in Revachol. | Players who want to shape what kind of detective they are. |
| The Wolf Among Us Remastered | Follow a narrative thriller in a supernatural setting. | Stylized neon noir inspired by DC’s Fables comic series. | Players after a dark, fantastical crime story. |
L.A. Noire: for period crime investigation
Set in 1940s Los Angeles, L.A. Noire is the most direct pick here if you want to work through cases. Its mix of crime-scene searches, suspect chases, and witness interrogations gives the detective work a central role. Rockstar describes it as combining action with detective work: L.A. Noire – Rockstar Games.

This is the choice for players drawn to a period setting and procedural casework, rather than a game where role-playing dialogue is the main attraction. ESRB rates L.A. Noire Mature 17+ in the US release context listed on its page, citing blood and gore, nudity, sexual themes, strong language, drug use, and violence. Check the rating displayed for your region and specific edition: ESRB: L.A. NOIRE.
Disco Elysium: for role-playing your detective
Disco Elysium begins with a detective waking up without his memory, then investigating a murder in Revachol. Its appeal is the chance to define the investigator through role-playing, dialogue, and choices, not simply to follow a fixed procedural routine. PlayStation describes it as an open-world role-playing game where players decide what sort of detective to become: Disco Elysium – PS4 & PS5 Games.

The Wolf Among Us Remastered: for supernatural neon noir
Telltale calls The Wolf Among Us Remastered a “dark neon-noir thriller” inspired by DC’s Fables comic series. Its stylized, supernatural setting makes it the most distinct tonal choice of these three: a fit for readers who want noir atmosphere filtered through fantasy rather than a straightforward period crime story.
