First choose the trainee variant—original Seiun Sky or Ballroom “Soirée des Chatons”—then build around the race distance, course, running style, game mode, and current server rules. The recommendations below are a planning framework, not a universal stat or skill prescription.
Which Seiun Sky are you training?
The original “Reeling in the Big One” and the Ballroom variant “Soirée des Chatons” are separate trainees with separate build guides. Check the variant shown on the trainee before choosing skills or a support deck: advice for one should not automatically be applied to the other. Game8 has guides for the original Seiun Sky and Soirée des Chatons; those pages were indexed in April 2026, so confirm that their recommendations match your current version.
What race and mode is the build for?
For a career run, prioritize completing the scenario’s goals and preparing for the races you expect to enter. A PvP build needs to account for a specific course, distance, ruleset, and competitive field. The Global Reference’s support-card build guide, updated August 26, 2026, explicitly focuses on PvP rather than prescribing a universal career deck (Global Reference support-card builds).
Event advice is narrower still. For example, the Cancer Cup guide discusses a Front Runner build for that Champions Meeting; it is evidence for that event context, not a rule that every Seiun Sky should always be trained as a Front Runner (Game8 Cancer Cup guide; related event build reference).

How to plan Seiun Sky’s stats
Start with the target race, not a copied stat spread. Distance and race conditions affect how much stamina is useful; the Global Reference notes that stamina matters but has a distance-dependent cap, and that it deserves more attention when the build is far below the relevant cap. That is a planning principle, not a numerical target for every course.
- Set the target. Identify the trainee variant, server/edition, scenario, race course and distance, running style, and whether this is career or PvP.
- Check stamina needs for that race. Use current, race-specific guidance for the chosen ruleset. Do not transfer a Champions Meeting target to another distance or mode without checking it.
- Allocate the remaining training. Once stamina is adequate for the target, use the deck and training opportunities to develop the other stats and skills the race plan needs.
- Reassess after changing context. A new course, distance, scenario, or event can change the value of the same stat and card choices.
The available sources do not establish universally correct final stat numbers for an unspecified race and mode. Publishing a fixed recipe would imply a certainty the evidence does not support.

Choosing support cards
Choose cards for what they contribute to the specific training plan: stat growth, skill hints that suit the target, and useful deck synergy. A card’s overall ranking is only a starting point; it does not prove that the card belongs in every Seiun Sky deck. The Global Reference explains that its tier list assesses cards by effects on training decks—including stat gains, skills, and synergy—and covers both Global and JP. Rankings are version-sensitive, so check the listed region and update date before relying on them (Global Reference support-card tier list).
Also distinguish a Seiun Sky support card from the Seiun Sky trainee you are training. The indexed Game8 card references identify these examples:

How to choose skills
Evaluate each skill against its activation conditions and the race you are preparing for. A skill that suits a particular distance, course, or running style may be a poor fit elsewhere. Check the current in-game description and current-version guidance before spending resources; the sources available here do not verify a complete, universally optimal skill list or all activation conditions.

- Does the skill’s condition match the target course and distance?
- Does it work with the running style you are training?
- Can the build reliably meet its activation conditions?
- Is the skill more valuable for the chosen mode and event rules than the alternatives available to you?
Game8’s April 2026 tier-list guidance also advises checking whether a card’s skills fit the trainee being trained. Treat any tier ranking as a dated aid, not a substitute for checking skill fit and current availability.

- Confirm whether you selected original Seiun Sky or Ballroom Soirée des Chatons.
- Write down the server/edition, scenario, mode, target course and distance, running style, and event rules.
- Set stamina needs for that specific race before deciding how to distribute training elsewhere.
- Pick support cards for training contribution and relevant skill hints, not just their tier-list placement.
- Verify skill effects and activation conditions in the current version.
- Recheck recommendations when the server, card pool, scenario, course, or competitive rules change.
Sources and update context
The official Cygames character portal lists Seiun Sky as a character reference; it does not provide an optimal build. Game8’s cited Seiun Sky and card pages were indexed in April 2026. The Global Reference build and tier-list pages surfaced as updated August 26, 2026, with the build guide specifically aimed at PvP. Game data and recommendations can change, so verify them against the game version and race you are actually entering.
