Theme clue: Think of a system used to communicate letters of the Roman alphabet aloud.
Spangram clue: It names the alphabet system associated with NATO. For a positional hint, TechRadar reported that the spangram touches the left edge at row five and the right edge at row six.

How the Strands clues work
Strands is a word-search-style puzzle: find theme words in the grid, then find the spangram, which describes the theme and touches two opposite sides of the board. A spangram may contain more than one word. In this puzzle, the theme words are entries from the phonetic alphabet and the spangram is NATOALPHABET.
Parade’s Strands instructions say players earn a hint for every three non-theme words they find; each hint reveals letters in a theme word. That can help if you want to keep solving rather than use the answer list immediately.
