That means the earlier “confirmed for 2026” framing is now out of date: the release has happened.
When did Aphelion come out?
Aphelion was released on April 28, 2026. DON’T NOD set the date in its March 12 announcement; on launch day, the publisher confirmed the game was out on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 in its release announcement. Xbox also lists April 28, 2026 as the release date on its store page.

What is Aphelion?
DON’T NOD describes Aphelion as a cinematic action-adventure combining exploration, traversal, stealth, and mystery. The story follows astronauts Ariane and Thomas after their spacecraft crash-lands on Persephone, a planet at the edge of the solar system. The Xbox listing likewise describes the stranded astronauts and their survival on the planet.

- PC: Available through Steam.
- Xbox: Available for Xbox Series X|S. Xbox’s listing identifies support for Xbox Play Anywhere and Game Pass; subscription access and catalog availability can change, so check the live listing for current details.

- March 12, 2026: The publisher announced April 28 as the release date and opened pre-orders for PS5 and Xbox. It also detailed the Day One cosmetics and physical Pioneer Edition.
- April 28, 2026: DON’T NOD confirmed the game was out on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
- July 2, 2026: The announced release date for the physical PS5 Pioneer Edition.
