When did Arknights: Endfield launch, and where can you play it?
Arknights: Endfield released globally on January 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM UTC+8. Its launch platforms were PlayStation 5, PC, iOS and Android. GRYPHLINE listed its official PC launcher, Epic Games Store, Apple App Store and Google Play Store as download routes in its launch announcement. Check the official pre-download and system-requirements page for current installation guidance, since platform details and requirements can change.
Steam availability
Steam was announced for October 15, 2026, alongside the free “Sanctuary of Ink” update. That date was still in the future on October 7, 2026, so Steam should be described as planned rather than already live at that point. GRYPHLINE’s Steam announcement is the source for the scheduled date.
How does Endfield expand the Arknights universe?
Endfield is set in the Arknights universe, but it is not simply the original game presented in a new format. It moves the story to Talos-II, a frontier world where civilized zones established by pioneers more than 150 years earlier stand beside dangerous wilderness. Players take the role of the Endministrator, leading Operators to protect and expand civilization.
Hypergryph co-founder and director Light Zhong described the design as “a new kind of experience set in the Arknights universe,” combining “real-time squad combat, exploration, and large-scale industrial systems into a single, interconnected adventure.” The game’s launch announcement also highlights base-building and factory automation. In combat, up to four Operators fight together, and players can switch control among them. The industrial systems give the frontier setting a practical dimension: building and managing infrastructure is part of the game’s identity, not just a backdrop to battles.
Does progress carry between PC, PS5 and mobile?
Yes, the official FAQ says a linked PSN account and Gryphline Account can share game progress across PS5, PC, Android and iOS, provided the platforms use the same server. Progress is not shared between servers. On PS5, the server is assigned according to the PSN account’s region, and manual server selection is not currently supported. Linking is not guaranteed to work as a merge between any two existing accounts. For example, the FAQ describes restrictions when a PSN account has already logged into the game and a player tries to link it to an already-registered Gryphline email; first login may also create a Gryphline account automatically. Review the FAQ before starting on PS5 if you want to use an existing PC or mobile account.
How much storage does Endfield need?
GRYPHLINE’s pre-download page gives these minimum free-space figures. The PC extraction requirement is in addition to the stated free space for the install.
