The Arhat Gold Piece is a quest item dropped by the First Prince of the Flowing Sands. It advances the Yellow-Robed Squire questline and helps open the route to the Kingdom of Sahali; it is not a crafting material or spendable currency.
How to get the Arhat Gold Piece
Defeat the First Prince of the Flowing Sands in the Valley of Despair. The encounter route depends on what happened in your earlier fight with the King and Second Prince of Flowing Sands.
If you defeated the King and Second Prince together
- Defeat the King and Second Prince of Flowing Sands together to obtain the Pungent Flesh Chunk.
- Go to the Valley of Despair Keeper Shrine and interact with the nearby cliff using the Pungent Flesh Chunk to summon the First Prince.
- Defeat the First Prince of the Flowing Sands. He drops the Arhat Gold Piece.
If the King escaped
From the Valley of Despair Keeper Shrine, head south into a small cave. The King summons the First Prince there. Defeat the First Prince to receive the Arhat Gold Piece.

What the Arhat Gold Piece is used for
The Arhat Gold Piece advances the Yellow-Robed Squire questline. Once the quest has progressed and you have the piece, the Squire becomes hostile at Fright Cliff. Defeating him leads to the Kingdom of Sahali. The encounter is also described as the Boar Man fight.
It is classified as a Legendary Key Item, not a crafting component or currency. Game8 reports that no armor, weapon, or spirit upgrade requires it. Keep it for quest progression rather than looking for a crafting recipe or shop that accepts it.
