To automate crops in Arknights: Endfield, connect a Seed-Picking Unit to a Planting Unit, then route some harvested plants back to the Seed-Picking Unit so the line can keep producing seeds. Once the loop is stable, divert surplus Buckflower to Buck Capsules or Aketine to Industrial Explosives. This describes the machine setup in a January 2026 third-party guide; the game’s official Auto-Farmer feature was announced for a version scheduled to launch October 15, 2026, and was not yet available as of October 7.
How to make a self-feeding crop and seed loop
Nerd’s Chalk’s January 29, 2026 guide describes a two-machine loop: a Seed-Picking Unit supplies seeds to a Planting Unit, and the planter’s plant output feeds the Seed-Picking Unit. Start the system by supplying a gathered plant, then keep enough output circulating to sustain the loop before diverting any surplus.

- Set up the Seed-Picking Unit and Planting Unit. Route the seed output from the Seed-Picking Unit into the Planting Unit.
- Close the plant-return route. Send the Planting Unit’s plant output back to the Seed-Picking Unit to produce more seeds.
- Start the line. Add a gathered plant to begin the process.
- Wait for the loop to stabilize. Keep its seed and plant inputs circulating; only then route surplus plants to another production line.
- Keep the facilities powered and belts clear. The guide recommends preventing belt backups so the loop and any surplus line can continue moving materials.
The guide does not establish machine throughput, every facility unlock requirement, or whether its layout works unchanged in every current game version. Check that the required facilities are unlocked and powered in your game, and leave enough belt or storage capacity for the output.
Route surplus plants into medicines or explosives
Use the crop loop for the plant you need, then split off surplus only after the return route has enough material to continue. The guide describes two downstream production paths:

Buckflower to Buck Capsules
Send surplus Buckflower to a Shredding Unit to make Buckflower Powder, then combine the powder with the matching bottle in a Filling Unit. Nerd’s Chalk lists these recipes and 10-second cycles; these are guide-reported details, not an independently verified or official recipe record.
| Output | Guide-listed inputs | Guide-listed cycle |
|---|---|---|
| Buck Capsule C | 5 Amethyst Bottles + 5 Buckflower Powder | 10 seconds |
| Buck Capsule B | 10 Ferrium Bottles + 10 Buckflower Powder | 10 seconds |
| Buck Capsule A | 10 Steel Bottles + 10 Ground Buckflower Powder | 10 seconds |
These quantities and timings are attributed to Nerd’s Chalk (2026). Confirm that the recipe and required bottle supply are available in your current version before building around them.
Aketine to Industrial Explosives
Grow Aketine, send the surplus to a Shredding Unit for Aketine Powder, then combine that powder with Amethyst Components in a Packaging Unit. Nerd’s Chalk (2026) lists the recipe as 5 Amethyst Components plus 1 Aketine Powder for 1 Industrial Explosive. The guide-reported quantity is not an independently verified or official recipe record.

ConCon’s January 23, 2026 video guide provides the creator’s in-game layout reference code EFO011ea089uE2UU34O7 for an automatic crop, seed and plant setup aimed at medicines and explosives. Treat it as a creator-provided blueprint, not an official layout or endorsement. Its continued usability in a later game version is not established.
What the official Auto-Farmer announcement changes
On October 7, 2026, the Arknights: Endfield Team announced that the Sanctuary of Ink version was scheduled to launch October 15. As of the announcement date, Auto-Farmer was upcoming, not an already available feature. The team said it “can perform Auto-Germinate and Auto-Harvest in the Farm in Si’s Painting.” It is unlocked through the side mission “A Painting Open for Business” and becomes available in Wuling City’s farming area as the story progresses. Read the official Sanctuary of Ink Version DEV Comm.
The same announcement describes farming-area improvements for that version: Top View, closer plot placement without spacing restrictions, and the option to configure operators to assist with fertilization after selecting a fertilizer. These are announced changes for the scheduled version, not instructions for the earlier machine loop.
Earlier official farming adjustment
A March 2, 2026 development communication says actions for germinating, watering, fertilizing and harvesting were shortened. It also says the growth boost from Burdo-Muck for plots in the growth phase increased “from 1 minute to 1 hour.” That figure refers specifically to the stated Burdo-Muck mechanic change.
