What kinds of tasks are on the checklist?
The list is broader than simply finishing the campaign. It combines story milestones and faction endings with world cleanup, character progression, collection goals, relationships, and combat challenges. How do you get the true endings?
The base-game ending achievements follow three faction routes: Wei, Wu, and Shu. The launch-period guide distinguishes each route’s ordinary ending from its true ending. The Steam checklist includes The Path to Power and The True Path to Power for Wei, The Future of Wu and The True Future of Wu, and A Just World and A Truly Just World for Shu. Which achievements are missable?
There is not enough verified information to label a definitive set of achievements as missable. A Steam Community guide warns that some NPC requests appear only at particular story stages, but its available excerpt is incomplete and does not establish a complete list of affected requests. Keep track of named NPC requests when you encounter them and check their availability as the story advances. Steam Community achievement guide.
The same community guide says chapter replay after story completion can help with cleanup. Treat replay as a recovery option to check for a missed task, rather than assuming every request or objective is available in every replay or that replay automatically restores all progress. Verify the specific task and its in-game save behavior.
A practical route to all 56 Steam achievements
- Advance the campaign while doing accessible cleanup. Pick up available waymarks, regional objectives, requests, and officer bonds as you encounter them. Make a note of named NPC requests because some may be stage-specific.
- Complete each faction route and its true ending. Finish Wei, Wu, and Shu, and pursue the true-ending achievement for each route rather than stopping after the ordinary ending.
- Clear the world and activity checklist. Work through regional peace, all missions, requests, training, and remaining waymarks. These are separate completion targets on Steam.
- Track combat and collection goals deliberately. Check the roster for battle arts, tactics, duels, unit actions, weapon types, enemy totals, weapons, horses, accessories, and upgrades. Group compatible objectives into battles where practical, and use the achievement descriptions to confirm what counts.
- Include the expansion content for the current Steam total. For 56/56, complete the Visions of Four Heroes story and its separate accessory, training, record, and Battle Art requirements.
- Use chapter replay to investigate cleanup gaps. If you missed a request or objective, try the relevant chapter and confirm that the task is available and that the game records it as completed.
Does this checklist apply to PS5 and Xbox?
The 56 figure in this guide is Steam-specific. The 44 figure is from a January 2025 launch-period trophy guide and should not be treated as a current console total. The available platform information does not establish whether PS5 and Xbox currently match Steam’s count or handle the expansion achievements in the same way. Before starting a console run, open that platform’s achievement or trophy list and check whether Visions of Four Heroes is included.
