To get past the two Arcane Barriers in Ramazith’s Tower, reveal and use the invisible lever beside each one, then pass a DC 20 Arcana check. Use the Weave button marked “Below” to reach the lower floor where the barriers and their levers are located. A failed check triggers a dangerous consequence, so choose each character carefully.
How to reach the barriers
-
Enter Ramazith’s Tower through the pale blue portal in Sorcerous Sundries.
-
On the tower’s middle floor, interact with the Weave button labelled “Below” to descend to the lower floor.
You cannot simply jump down to the lower floor: an invisible barrier blocks the way.

How to disable each Arcane Barrier
There are two barriers, each with its own invisible lever. Cast or use See Invisibility to reveal the lever beside a barrier. Interact with it and pass a DC 20 Arcana check to deactivate that barrier. Repeat the process for the other barrier.

If a character fails the check, the nearby Aspect of Athkatla statue casts Disintegrate on that character, who cannot attempt the same lever again. Before interacting, select a character whose Arcana ability and available bonuses make them your best candidate. The evidence for this mechanic comes from the community-maintained bg3.wiki Ramazith’s Tower entry; no version-specific change is established here.
