Steam’s current listing shows a “Mostly Positive” user rating, but also says the game is no longer available in its store. Here’s what those reviews and the listing establish—and what they do not.
What is CONSORTIUM?
Valve’s official store description calls CONSORTIUM “an interactive narrative experience, first and foremost,” and sums up its premise as “A murder mystery, on a plane, in the future.” The game was developed and published by Interdimensional Games Inc. and released on January 8, 2014. Its story takes place aboard the C-3800-D “ZENLIL” Consortium Command vessel on December 21, 2042. Valve’s Steam listing
The player is Bishop Six, investigating a murder while dealing with a tense crew situation. The store description presents diplomacy and force as possible approaches and says decisions affect relationships and later playthroughs. Those are the publisher’s descriptions of the game, not findings from independent playtesting.
Are CONSORTIUM reviews positive?
At access on October 8, 2026, Steam showed 1,509 all-time user reviews, with 72% positive, and labeled the aggregate “Mostly Positive.” That is a Steam user-review snapshot, not a professional critics’ score or a universal measure of game quality. Steam’s listing

#1 Best Overall
A separate, dated third-party snapshot differs: Steambase displayed 1,512 reviews—1,087 positive and 425 negative—and said it was last updated September 3, 2025. The counts do not match Steam’s later snapshot, so they should be read with their source and date rather than combined. Steambase’s CONSORTIUM reviews page
Can you still get CONSORTIUM on Steam?
The official Steam page currently states, “CONSORTIUM is no longer available on the Steam store.” That establishes its current Steam-store status, but does not establish whether it can be obtained elsewhere or whether other editions are available. Store availability can change; check the official listing for its latest status.

What do the reviews tell you about the game?
The rating aggregates indicate that a majority of the users represented in Steam’s displayed review snapshot left positive reviews. They do not, by themselves, explain why reviewers liked or disliked the game, establish how it compares with other narrative games, or predict whether a particular player will enjoy it.
For a prospective player, the clearest fit signal is the official description: the game centers on interactive narrative, dialogue and relationships, with choices framed around diplomacy or force. The available review counts do not independently verify how deeply those systems work in play.
