Where to find the Wombo Combo
Travel to Saw’s Clench Ripper Drill Site in the northern part of the Ruined Sumplands region of Carcadia Burn. The Wombo Combo is tied to the Rippa Roadbirds encounter there, rather than to a general world drop route described by the guides.
The encounter is a flying trio: Lil’ Grunt, Baby Grunt, and Gruntabulous Vork. Each is listed as a possible source for the rifle by the reviewed guides and Lootlemon’s reference page (PC Gamer; Lootlemon; Mobalytics).
How to farm the Rippa Roadbirds

Plan for the return to the arena
Getting back into the encounter can be awkward because the arena exit has a ledge that is not an easy walk-back route. PC Gamer describes spawning a vehicle at the base of the ledge, jumping, then dismounting in midair to gain height. Mobalytics instead suggests using a small pile of rocks on the right side of the exit to jump and grab the ledge. These are different guide tips, not a single universally verified route; use the visible terrain, and try the vehicle maneuver if the rock jump does not work.
What the Wombo Combo does
The Wombo Combo is a base-game Legendary assault rifle made by Vladof. Its “Rip Rockets” effect automatically fires rockets from the underbarrel while you shoot. PC Gamer describes the launcher-like rockets as firing alongside the rifle’s normal stream; Mobalytics reports one rocket for every five normal bullet projectiles. Both guides say the rockets deal kinetic damage even when the main rifle roll has a different element, so choose the weapon’s element for the rifle’s damage and your matchup rather than expecting it to change the rockets.

Lootlemon lists fire, shock, corrosive, cryo, and radiation versions. The weapon’s displayed flavor line is “Where you at? Where you at? Where you at?” (Lootlemon).
Reported drop rates
Lootlemon’s Wombo Combo reference page, updated October 6, 2026, lists the following rates. These are third-party reference figures, not official Gearbox drop-rate disclosures, and the available information does not establish how the Big Encore figure combines with the individual boss chances.

Lootlemon’s page does not provide an official confirmation for these odds. Treat them as a reference while farming, not as a promise of a drop after a particular number of runs. The same page’s changelog points to a January 29, 2026 official update concerning an underbarrel damage interaction with the Underdog Enhancement; exact behavior may change with patches.

Because the rockets are reported as kinetic across the available rifle elements, the main practical choice is the rifle’s element and how it suits your build and the enemies you are fighting. For repeat farming, weigh how quickly you can defeat the trio against the time and difficulty of getting back over the exit ledge to use Big Encore again. A faster kill is only part of an efficient loop if the return route slows each reset.
