This page gathers the Brawl Stars gameplay updates documented in Supercell’s official release notes through August 2026, including the new Brawlers and the major progression change. The notes for August were posted September 1, 2026; the available archive results do not establish whether a later gameplay update has since been published.
August 2026: Brawler Blast replaces Starr Road
Supercell’s August 2026 release notes describe Brawler Blast as a shooting-gallery-style Brawler unlocking experience in the Brawler Collection. Credits move you toward the next rarity, and rarity progression follows a fixed order. Supercell calls it “a new shooting gallery-style unlocking experience where Credits progress you toward your next new Brawler (with potential upgrades)!”
The published Credit costs for each rarity are:

These are the costs published in Supercell’s 2026 notes, not a claim that the figures remain unchanged in a later build. During an opening, the gallery can show up to 10 unowned Brawlers from the current rarity; if fewer than 10 are available, some targets may be empty.
How the choice chance works
Supercell says an opening has a 50% chance of offering a choice. When a choice is offered, the published breakdown is 57.14% for two Brawlers, 28.57% for three, and 14.29% for four. The notes describe the probabilities, but do not establish that Brawler Blast is faster or better than another progression route.

June 2026: Nori and cooking-themed modes
The June 2026 release notes, posted August 3 and including August 4 maintenance, introduce Nori as a Legendary Assassin. Supercell describes him as Kenji and Kaze’s child. His attack slashes forward; charging it lets him cast a fishing rod farther.
The update also adds two cooking-themed seasonal modes and a PvE mode. In the cooking modes, teams gather ingredients from delivery bots, place them in a wok, and complete orders using recipes with three to five ingredients. Mode availability is seasonal, rather than a permanent rule for all matches.

April 2026: Damian joins as a Mythic Tank
The April 2026 notes, posted May 12, introduce Damian as a Mythic Tank. His trait charges his Super when he takes damage. His basic attack alternates punches with an explosive kick; his Super creates a Mosh Pit with speakers that damage and knock back enemies. The release notes also describe his Gadgets and Star Powers.
February 2026: Sirius arrives as an Ultra Legendary Controller
The February 2026 notes, posted March 31, introduce Sirius as an Ultra Legendary Controller. His attack can produce either an area-damage Ticket Bomb or a single-target Shadow Strike. Every fourth hit earns him a Brawler Shadow; he can store up to three and summon them with his Super.

How to read these update notes
Release notes are dated snapshots, not a live guarantee of current balance, availability, or character performance. Supercell’s June page includes balance changes and fixes, and the August notes are the latest gameplay notes established by the archive results available here—not necessarily the latest release overall. An October 1, 2026 archive result is an esports article, which does not establish a gameplay update date. For event details, keep the scope specific: for example, Supercell says the Starr Nova modifier applies in featured Game Modes and randomly selected Trophy Road modes; its powered-up Brawlers are event-specific, not a general permanent rule.
- For current progression costs, check the dated Brawler Blast notes and confirm they still match your game version.
- For a Brawler’s abilities, use the notes for that Brawler’s release, and check any later dated balance or maintenance entry before relying on specific stats.
- Do not treat release-note descriptions as evidence of a strongest pick or current meta ranking.
