Yes, you can keep earning skill points after Talion reaches level 80. The official progression update says XP earned beyond the level cap awards additional points. It also says Prestige Skills unlock after Act III and can be purchased multiple times. However, the cited official sources do not establish the exact total cost or maximum rank for every skill, so they do not confirm a precise point total for maxing everything.
Does reaching level 80 stop skill-point progression?
No. The progression update raises the maximum player level to 80, but says XP earned after level 80 continues to award additional skill points. In other words, the displayed level cap is not itself a skill-point cap. Monolith Productions’ progression update describes this post-cap progression.

When do Prestige Skills unlock?
The update says Prestige Skills become accessible after Act III, and that each can be purchased multiple times. It does not say that they unlock only when Talion reaches level 80, so the stated unlock condition is completing Act III—not hitting the level cap.
Can you max every skill and Prestige Skill?
The available official information supports continued earning and repeat purchases, but it does not give the full point cost to unlock every base skill and maximize every Prestige Skill, or the maximum rank of each Prestige Skill. That means there is no verified exact total here for a fully maxed skill set, nor enough information to state a guaranteed endpoint. WB Games’ starter guide confirms the basic system: players assign skill points to Talion’s traits.
