Electronic Arts revealed the first Battlefield 6 trailer on July 24, 2025, and at the time promised a multiplayer showcase for July 31. That event has since taken place, and the game launched on October 10, 2025. Here is what the original trailer and later announcements established about the campaign and multiplayer.
What did the Battlefield 6 single-player trailer show?
EA’s July 24 trailer introduced the conflict around Pax Armata, a private military corporation bankrolled by former NATO states. EA presented the campaign as the return of a single-player story to the series and said the conflict would also set up the game’s multiplayer. EA’s first-trailer announcement scheduled the multiplayer reveal for the following week.
The campaign centers on Dagger 1-3, an elite Marine Raiders unit attempting to stop Pax Armata. EA later described a 2027 setting in which a major assassination destabilizes NATO and Pax Armata moves to fill the resulting power vacuum.
When was the Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal?
EA held its multiplayer reveal on July 31, 2025, at 11:30 AM PDT / 14:30 PM EDT, streaming on YouTube and Twitch. The event covered multiplayer modes and features, showed a glimpse of the campaign, and previewed the updated Portal creation tools. What the showcase announced
- Combat: The Kinesthetic Combat System includes Drag and Revive and weapon mounting.
- Classes: Assault, Recon, Support, and Engineer return.
- Destruction: EA highlighted enhanced destruction.
- Modes: Conquest, Breakthrough, and Rush return; Escalation is a new mode.
- Portal: The updated toolset lets players create Community Experiences.
What is the Battlefield 6 campaign about?
In its September 24 campaign overview, EA described a singular narrative rather than the separate War Stories structure used in Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V. Dagger 1-3 fights across three continents, with locations including the Pyramids and Brooklyn. Players can command squadmates to suppress enemies while maneuvering.
EA identifies the Dagger 1-3 roster as Haz Carter, Dylan Murphy, Simone “Gecko” Espina, Cliff Lopez, and Lucas Hemlock. The campaign is nine missions long, according to EA’s launch announcement. EA’s campaign overview provides the story and squad details; its October 10 launch announcement states the mission count.

Where did Battlefield 6 launch?
Battlefield 6 launched October 10, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, the EA app, and the Epic Games Store. EA named Standard and Phantom editions. Its September 24 article listed US launch MSRPs of $69.99 for Standard and $99.99 for Phantom; those are historical launch prices, not a statement of current regional pricing.
