Battlefield 6’s California Resistance update, version 1.1.2.0, was announced by EA on November 17, 2025, and scheduled to go live November 18 at 09:00 UTC. It added the Eastwood map, the limited-time Sabotage mode, two weapons and a vehicle-focused Gauntlet mission type, alongside an aim-assist adjustment and broader gameplay fixes.
What the Battlefield 6 Eastwood update added
EA named update 1.1.2.0 California Resistance. Its headline additions were announced by EA on November 17, 2025, with availability scheduled for the following day.
Eastwood map
Eastwood is a Southern California-themed map with variations for all official modes. In Conquest, EA listed tanks, helicopters and a Golf Cart among the available vehicles.
Sabotage limited-time mode
Sabotage is an event mode centered on demolition and counterplay. It was presented as a limited-time addition, rather than a permanent new mode.

DB-12 and M357 Trait
The update introduced the DB-12 Shotgun and the M357 Trait Sidearm. EA’s announcement establishes that they were added; it does not provide a basis here for ranking either weapon against the rest of the arsenal.
Rodeo mission type in Gauntlet
Gauntlet gained Rodeo, a mission type built around vehicles that players compete to control and use against one another.

What changed about aim assist
EA said it was reverting aim assist to values players had experienced in Open Beta and Battlefield Labs after reviewing player feedback and gameplay data. The stated goal was to keep aim slowdown consistent across ranges, helping muscle memory and creating a steadier feel. EA described that rationale in its November 17, 2025 update announcement.
This is EA’s explanation of the change, not independent evidence that every player would feel the same effect. The announcement also does not establish that these November 2025 settings remain the game’s current aim-assist behavior.

Other gameplay fixes in update 1.1.2.0
Beyond the new content and aim-assist adjustment, EA described improvements to soldier responsiveness, aim consistency, animations and stability, plus fixes affecting weapons, gadgets and vehicles. Those broad categories do not mean every weapon or platform received the same change; individual fixes should be read in the context of EA’s full update 1.1.2.0 notes.

No. Version 1.1.2.0 is a November 2025 update, not a description of Battlefield 6 as it stands in October 2026. EA’s October 1, 2026 first-year retrospective describes four seasons of content and says aim assist continued to be tuned; it also discusses later adjustments to recoil and body-damage multipliers. Those are subsequent developments, not features of California Resistance.

EA’s September 2026 update 1.4.3.0 notes cover Season 4: Tidal Strike content and changes, including the Deep Six event and Interdictor adjustments. EA’s news index also lists update 1.4.3.5, dated September 28, 2026. As a result, the aim-assist details in the 1.1.2.0 announcement should be understood as a historical change, not a guarantee of current settings.
