Applying does not guarantee an invitation: EA selects participants and sends invitations to those chosen. Signing up is an application, not a reservation. EA says selection is handled by EA Playtesting; contacting support advisers will not secure access. EA’s joining guidance says people invited to a first session automatically have access to later sessions, but that does not establish that a session is currently open or scheduled. Check EA’s live joining page for current availability.
Who can apply, and where is Battlefield Labs available?
EA requires an EA Account linked to the platform account used to play. EA’s published materials describe initial invitations in Europe and North America, with Asia-Pacific expansion planned later. Those broad regional statements are not a definitive, current list of eligible countries, so applicants should check the current signup process rather than assume eligibility based on location alone.

EA has described the initial invitation group as a few thousand players, with plans to expand invitations to tens of thousands. These are EA’s stated plans, not a verified count of current participants.
Choose a supported platform and check the requirements
EA lists PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S as supported platforms. Console participation also requires the platform subscription shown below. PC applicants should compare their hardware against EA’s minimum requirements before choosing that route.

EA’s Battlefield FAQ lists the following minimum and recommended PC specifications. Storage is stated as a minimum of 30GB in both tiers.

Requirements and platform details can change; verify them in EA’s Battlefield FAQ before applying. A gaming PC is not necessary for every applicant because EA also lists both current PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

What Battlefield Labs participants will test
Battlefield Labs is a pre-release testing environment intended to help EA evaluate concepts and mechanics with players. EA says early testing covers core pillars such as combat and destruction, with later tests potentially exploring weapons, vehicles, gadgets, maps, modes, squad play, and class-system ideas. This is not a promise that every participant will encounter every feature.
Expect work in progress rather than a polished preview: EA warns that test content can have rough edges, bugs, and crashes. In its February 3, 2025 announcement, Vince Zampella, then identified as Head of Respawn & Group GM for EA Studios Organization, said: “This game has so much potential. To find that potential, with us being pre-alpha, now is the time to test the experiences our teams have been building for our upcoming launch.”

How feedback works—and what you can share
EA may ask participants for feedback on specific parts of a session, and participants can also provide general feedback. Invited players can submit feedback directly to the team and communicate with other playtesters in a private Discord channel. EA says it reviews feedback but does not promise to implement every suggestion.
Participation is under an NDA. EA specifically cautions participants against sharing their experiences on social media or streaming platforms. Read the terms and NDA before joining; do not assume that recording, streaming, or posting impressions is allowed.
Is there a public test schedule?
EA’s published information does not establish a current public schedule or a fixed cadence for sessions. EA says participants receive schedule details directly. Applicants should use EA’s current joining guidance for signup status and watch for an invitation rather than rely on an unconfirmed date.
