EA lists Battlefield 6 update 1.4.3.5, dated September 28, 2026, as the latest game update in its news index. But the headline does not identify a specific bug, platform, or mode, and EA’s October 6 status thread lists several separate issues. The available official information therefore does not confirm one singular “serious issue” caused by the update.
What update 1.4.3.5 changed
EA describes version 1.4.3.5 as a smaller quality-of-life update with targeted changes to menus, the HUD, social features, modes, maps, AI behavior, and stability. Its notes include fixes for several player-facing problems:
- The downed-state minimap now displays.
- Quitting to the main menu from the End of Round screen no longer results in endless loading.
- A crash in Spectator mode was resolved.
- The 20MM APHEI Cannon can no longer damage its carrier in Carrier Strike.
These are EA’s descriptions of the patch, not independent test results. Read the EA Battlefield news index and the 1.4.3.5 update notes for the official details.
What EA’s status thread says is still in progress
In a Battlefield team status thread last updated October 6, EA lists multiple items rather than identifying one issue as the cause of the headline. The thread says Hazmat Breacher field training is in progress and that additional matchmaking backend changes are underway. It also lists the 20MM APHEI Cannon as temporarily disabled, with resolution scheduled for 1.4.3.5; the patch notes separately describe the Carrier Strike damage fix.

Because the status page and patch notes describe different kinds of information, check the live thread for current availability and resolution details. The listed items do not establish that any one of them is the “serious issue” meant by the headline.
Earlier problems have changed status
Update 1.4.3.0 arrived with Season 4: Tidal Strike on September 15 and introduced Proximity Chat in a live test period. EA said it might turn the feature on or off while applying fixes and improvements.

In a September 16 status roundup, the team reported investigating REDSEC matchmaking problems, missing or switching weapon attachments, disabled Proximity Chat, a downed-state minimap problem, and delayed HUD notifications. The September 18 update said matchmaking had stabilized after 1.4.3.1, attachments were missing only in the Firing Range, and Proximity Chat remained disabled during investigation. On September 23, EA reported that Proximity Chat had been re-enabled after performance issues were investigated and resolved. That timeline does not support treating those earlier reports as all still active.

How to check the problem you are experiencing
- Identify the symptom and mode. Note whether the problem is REDSEC matchmaking, an on-screen display, a disabled feature, a crash, or a connection issue.
- Check the current Battlefield status thread. Look for the exact issue and any update about work in progress, temporary disablement, or a fix. Status can change, so do not rely on an older roundup alone.
- Choose the matching EA Help topic. EA’s support hub links to help for error messages, high ping and lag, connection trouble, and game crashes or freezing. Start at the EA Help hub and select the topic that matches what is happening.
Without a specific symptom and platform, the official information does not support recommending a particular hardware change or repair.
