The recommendations overlap on some choices but diverge on others. Use the differences to decide what to try, rather than assuming one grip or magazine is objectively superior.

What is established about the C9
Activision’s official launch weapon guide calls the C9 a full-auto SMG and says, “The C9 is a well-balanced weapon that performs reliably in all close to mid-range situations.” The guide says the weapon is available immediately and lists a 30-round magazine; those are launch-guide details, not confirmation that later updates left every behavior unchanged. Activision describes SMGs generally as mobile, quick-handling primary weapons for medium-to-short-range fights, with less accuracy than an assault rifle. The launch guide lists optics, muzzles, barrels, underbarrels, magazines, rear grips, stocks, lasers, and fire mods as SMG attachment types.
How to validate a build in your matches
These recommendations come from guides published at different points in the game’s life, and none establishes a universally best C9 setup through controlled current-patch testing. After equipping one, use a short in-game check: fire at the ranges where you expect to take fights, note whether recoil or handling is the problem, and change one attachment at a time. That makes it easier to tell whether a different grip, foregrip, or magazine suits your play.
