If you want the strongest-supported Electric deck choice in the latest cited tournament snapshot, start with Magnezone / Miraidon ex. Pokémon TCG Pocket calls the card type Lightning; in tournament data covering September 7–October 6, 2026, this archetype posted 3.9% meta share and a 51.6% win rate across 179 deck samples. Those are third-party results, not an official Pokémon ranking or a promise of future performance. See the tournament ranking source.
Which Lightning deck leads the available tournament data?
Magnezone / Miraidon ex leads the two featured Lightning archetypes by meta share in the September 7–October 6, 2026 snapshot. Mega Manectric ex / Heliolisk is close on reported win rate, so the figures suggest two viable options rather than a runaway winner. The ranking page says its figures aggregate public decklists and reported pairings from Limitless; they are not Pokémon-published statistics. View the tournament rankings.
| Archetype | Meta share | Win rate | Deck samples | What the figures indicate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Magnezone / Miraidon ex | 3.9% | 51.6% | 179 | Highest share and reported win rate among these two options in this snapshot. |
| Mega Manectric ex / Heliolisk | 2.4% | 51.5% | 112 | Nearly the same reported win rate, with lower share and fewer samples. |
These are figures for one stated date window and source, not a global win rate or a universal ranking. A separate community listing crawled October 8, 2026, reports Magnezone / Miraidon ex at 3.1% share and 52.3% win rate, and Mega Manectric ex / Heliolisk at 3.4% share and 47.9% win rate. Because the sources report different results, keep their figures separate rather than averaging or combining them. See PokémonGoHub Pocket’s live meta listing.
How to choose between the two archetypes
The tournament figures do not establish a direct head-to-head matchup. Pick based on the cards you own and the setup you prefer, not on a claim that one automatically beats the other.

- Choose Magnezone / Miraidon ex if you want the archetype with the highest share in the cited tournament snapshot. The available ranking evidence confirms its representation but does not expose a representative full 20-card list, so use current tournament lists as references and check each list’s date and event.
- Consider Mega Manectric ex / Heliolisk if its evolution-based plan fits your collection and play preference. Pokémon’s April 10, 2026 strategy feature describes Mega Manectric ex as growing stronger nearer victory. Its official list pairs Mega Manectric ex with Darkrai and Igglybuff, not Heliolisk; that feature is a strategy reference, not a current tournament ranking.
- Check collection fit before committing: account for the main attackers, evolution pieces, and any Energy acceleration the specific list requires. The cited sources do not establish current pack odds or acquisition costs.
What the official Mega Manectric feature establishes
Pokémon’s April 10, 2026 feature presents this partial card list for its Mega Manectric ex strategy: 2 Mega Manectric ex (Mega Shine), 2 Electrike (Mega Shine), 2 Darkrai (Mega Shine), 2 Igglybuff (Secluded Springs), 2 Professor’s Research (Promo), 1 Calem (Mega Shine), 1 Cyrus (Space-Time Smackdown: Palkia), and 1 Sabrina (Genetic Apex: Charizard). Those listed quantities add up to 13 cards, so they are not a complete 20-card deck list and should not be filled out by guesswork. The article’s official strategy discussion concerns Mega Manectric ex with Darkrai and Igglybuff; it does not substantiate the tournament pairing with Heliolisk. Read Pokémon’s Mega Manectric ex strategy feature.
Where Pikachu ex fits
Pikachu ex remains a useful reference for a more familiar Lightning attacker plan, but the available official strategy article dates to December 2024 and does not establish it as the best deck in October 2026. Pokémon’s guide says Circle Circuit needs a solid group of Lightning Pokémon to make the most of the attack, making Bench composition central to that plan. Read Pokémon’s Pikachu ex deck strategy.

One Pocket battle rule worth checking
Pokémon Support’s Battle Rules FAQ says an attack with no Energy symbol to the left of its name requires no attached Energy and can be used on the first turn by the player who goes first. The FAQ also clarifies that Jolteon ex’s Electromagnetic Wall triggers when Energy is attached from the Energy Zone, including when an effect attaches Energy from that Zone. These are rules details, not evidence that a particular Lightning archetype is stronger. Check Pokémon Support’s Battle Rules FAQ.
