What Burning Springs adds
- A new region in Ohio.
- New characters.
- Bounty-hunting missions featuring The Ghoul, voiced by Walton Goggins.
The announced release date has passed; the recap’s free-update description refers to the update for Fallout 76 players, not a current trial or limited-time offer.
What’s planned for Fallout 76 after Burning Springs?
In a studio note dated July 17, 2026, Bethesda Game Studios said a major expansion named Raven Rock was planned for 2027. The studio described it as a prequel story to Fallout 3. This is a later plan, separate from the 2025 Burning Springs announcement; Bethesda’s note states a plan, not a guarantee of delivery by a particular date. Bethesda Game Studios’ July 17, 2026 note

| 2026 | Raven Rock planned as a major Fallout 76 expansion for 2027; no traditional Fallout Day broadcast in 2026. | A later studio statement, not a 2026 broadcast announcement.
