Use Light damage, learn Dualliste’s sword strings by their tells, and prepare for a party-wide Inverted effect when the fight reaches its second phase. The boss is at the end of the Forgotten Battlefield in Act 2.
Where to find Dualliste
Dualliste is the boss at the end of the Forgotten Battlefield in Act 2. Guides give different route markers: the community guide points to the South Entrance side, while Gamepressure says the encounter begins after you reach the Ancient Bridge flag. Use these as route references rather than assuming they describe the same approach. Gamepressure’s Dualliste guide was updated April 25, 2025; the community guide was last reviewed September 24, 2026.

What damage works best
Light is Dualliste’s listed weakness, confirmed by both guides. Build around Light attacks where available; the recent community guide specifically suggests Verso. Both sources report that Dualliste resists Dark, so avoid relying on Dark damage. The community guide also lists Fire resistance and identifies the head as the weak point, but Gamepressure does not independently confirm those details. Gamepressure
How to handle the first phase
Dualliste uses sword combinations of three, four, and five hits, along with a ground-impact area attack. Don’t use one defensive response for every sequence: watch the animation and listen for the sword-cutting cue Gamepressure describes. The four-hit string includes a swipe that should be jumped; other parts of the strings call for parrying or dodging according to the guides.

- Ground-impact attack: Watch for the area attack and respond to its impact timing rather than treating it as another sword combo.
What changes in the second phase
Dualliste draws a second sword and extends its attack strings. The guides differ on the exact combo length, so count the attacks as they happen rather than relying on a fixed number. Both also report a party-wide Inverted effect around the second phase or roughly half health.
The guides describe Inverted differently: the community guide says healing becomes damage, while Gamepressure says the effect removes the ability to heal. Check the status marker and the game’s current effect description before using a healing action. Bring the party into the transition in good condition, and keep prioritizing the attack tells while the longer strings play out.
