Yes. Blizzard’s general refund policy allows refunds for eligible games and expansions purchased on Blizzard’s platform within 14 days, provided you have played no more than two hours. Different rules apply to real-money in-game items and World of Warcraft subscriptions, and the policy does not apply in Korea or mainland China. To request a refund, use Blizzard Support and select the relevant game or order.

Battle.net refund rules by purchase type

Blizzard’s published Refund Policy sets different conditions according to what you bought. These are the stated general rules, not a guarantee that every order will be approved.

Purchase Stated condition
Paid game or expansion Request within 14 days of purchase, with no more than two hours of play.
Real-money in-game item Most items qualify within 14 days if they have not been claimed, opened, or otherwise used.
World of Warcraft subscription An unused subscription may be refunded within 14 days of purchase. Blizzard does not define “unused” in the policy text.
Game bought from a retailer Return eligibility is subject to the retailer’s return policy, not Blizzard’s Battle.net refund process, according to Blizzard’s US End User License Agreement.

Can you refund a Battle.net game after playing it?

Possibly, if your play time is no more than two hours and you request the refund within 14 days of purchase. Blizzard’s stated condition is “haven’t played for more than two hours,” so exactly two hours does not exceed the published limit. The policy does not say that meeting these thresholds guarantees approval.

How to request a Battle.net refund

  1. Go to Blizzard Support.
  2. Select the relevant game or order and follow the refund request options.
  3. If the automated service does not resolve the issue, contact Blizzard Support for help.

Blizzard says the refund typically goes to the payment method used for the original transaction. If that method cannot be refunded, Blizzard may issue Battle.net Balance instead. This policy covers purchases made on Blizzard’s own platform, including the Blizzard Shop, Battle.net App, and purchases within Blizzard games.

Check where you bought the game and where you live

For a boxed or other retail purchase, start with the retailer’s return policy; Blizzard’s US EULA says retail returns are subject to that policy. The general refund policy excludes Korea and mainland China and directs customers in those regions to local documentation. The rules described above should not be assumed to apply there.

  • An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
  • If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
  • The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
  • Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
