The reports concerned that year’s event; available information does not confirm whether the same problem is affecting a Solstice event in October 2026. Bungie also said the quest was not required to unlock and imbue armor or obtain the memento.
What Bungie confirmed about the 2025 quest bug
On August 13, 2025, Bungie Help replied to a player whose first Celebrating Solstice step had not advanced after completing Solstice modes, solo activities, fireteam activities, and Crucible matches. Bungie’s response was: “We are aware of this issue and are investigating.” Bungie Help Forum: “Solstice celebrating solstice no quest progression”

A separate thread opened August 5 described completed activities failing to register. Bungie Help said it had received other reports and was investigating the cause. The posts establish that players reported a progression problem and that Bungie acknowledged it; they do not establish what caused it or document a definitive fix. Could you still get Solstice rewards without the quest?
Yes, according to Bungie Help’s August 9, 2025 reply to a player whose quest had disappeared. Bungie said the quest was mainly a guide to unlocking and imbuing armor, and that players could do those actions and obtain the memento whether or not the quest was completed or still existed. The reply described the quest as unnecessary for those rewards; it did not say the progression bug had been fixed. Bungie Help Forum: “Celebrating solstice quest bugged now disappeared”

- From the makers of the acclaimed hit game Destiny, comes the much-anticipated sequel

- Humanity’s last safe city has fallen to an overwhelming invasion force, led by Ghaul, the imposing commander of the brutal Red Legion
- To defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul, you must reunite humanity’s scattered heroes, stand together, and fight back to reclaim our home
Did Fireteam Ops fix the progression problem?
One player in the August 5 thread later edited their post to say that completing Fireteam Ops finally advanced the quest. That is an individual player-reported result, not a Bungie-confirmed workaround or evidence that Fireteam Ops will fix the issue for everyone. Is the same Solstice bug still active in October 2026?
The available information does not establish that. The reports and Bungie replies cited here concern the 2025 event. Bungie’s known-issues page describes itself as a targeted, non-comprehensive list. Its Monument of Triumph section was last updated July 7, 2026, and does not list this 2025 Solstice progression problem. That omission does not confirm the bug was fixed, nor does it show that the 2025 quest is available now.

What to do if a quest is stuck now
If you encounter a similar issue during a current event, check Bungie’s current notices and support channels for information tied to that event and quest step. The 2025 reports do not establish a general fix for a present-day problem. Bungie’s 2025 reply does indicate that, for the issue it addressed, the quest was not required for the described armor actions or memento reward.
