When did Salvation’s Edge launch?
Bungie announced the raid launch for June 7, 2024, at 10 AM PT. Its launch-week post confirmed the same time for the start of the World First race. The time is given in Bungie’s published label, PT.

Bungie’s April 18, 2024 announcement set the raid date and time; its May 30 launch-week post reaffirmed the race start.
What were the launch-period requirements?
These details applied to the raid’s original 2024 launch, not current entry guidance. Bungie said the fireteam leader needed to complete The Final Shape campaign and the Wild Card Exotic quest to launch the raid. It also warned that Salvation’s Edge contains campaign spoilers.

For the original launch, Contest Mode was scheduled to remain active for 48 hours, and 1965 Power was the cap through all encounters. These were historical event parameters, not continuing requirements.
Bungie’s April 19, 2024 forum post explained that the raid was planned shortly after the expansion and advised players who wanted the story in sequence to finish the campaign and Wild Card quest first.

Were raid rewards available for completing it?
Bungie documented a raid jacket, sling bag, and pin with specific 2024 completion deadlines. Those deadlines have passed, and the cited announcement does not establish whether any of those items are available now. Bungie’s June 6, 2024 post contains the historical reward details.
