What Dawnfire does
The community-maintained Diablo Wiki item reference lists Dawnfire as Unique gloves for Paladin, added in Season 11. Its listed power deals 225–450 Fire damage each second in an aura around the player. Each enemy that dies inside the aura increases its damage by 50% for 15 seconds, stacking up to 10 times.

How the effect works now, according to official notes
Blizzard’s 2.6 patch notes document several changes to Dawnfire. Activating Holy Light refreshes the effect’s duration, and the duration was increased from 15 to 20 seconds. Blizzard also updated the tooltip to show that the aura changes size and to clarify the increased burn area per stack. The aura icon gained a buff count and duration indicator. The notes further say the chance for the aura to deal double damage increased to the higher value for Paladin Unique items.
In its 3.1 patch notes, Blizzard confirmed a fix for an issue that caused Dawnfire to deal damage less frequently than intended. That confirms a correction, but does not specify a particular current damage rate.

What the 2.6 PTR notes say
Blizzard’s 2.6.0 PTR notes mention fixes for a visual fire aura appearing on allies when Dawnfire was equipped and for Dawnfire’s Holy Light Aura changing the damage rate of NPC allies. These are PTR issue notes; they provide development context, not proof that every listed fix shipped unchanged in a live patch.
Is Dawnfire good for a Paladin?
Dawnfire is most relevant to a Paladin setup that can make use of Holy Light Aura and its damage-over-time effect. Its listed bonuses include Righteousness ranks, a chance for the aura to deal double damage, Strength, and Maximum Life. Whether it belongs in a particular build depends on how much that build values the aura and those affixes compared with the other gloves it could equip. The available sources do not establish a build ranking or prove that Dawnfire is best in a particular setup.
