- Helltide: Open Tortured Gifts while taking part in a Helltide.
- Tree of Whispers: Complete Whispers objectives, then claim the reward cache.
These are possible sources, not guaranteed drops. The reference does not give a yield, drop rate, or comparison of how quickly either activity produces Angelbreath.
Which source should you try?
There is no verified fastest route to recommend. Choose based on which activity is available to you and fits your current build and session: open Tortured Gifts if you are already doing Helltide, or claim a Tree of Whispers cache when you complete its objectives. The available source information does not identify a best Helltide gift or show that one activity is more efficient.

What Angelbreath is used for
Angelbreath is a rare herb used at the Alchemist for potion upgrades and for crafting elixirs and incense. If you are gathering it for a specific recipe or upgrade, check the Alchemist’s requirements in your game rather than assuming a particular activity will provide enough.

Blizzard’s patch 1.5.0 notes said common herbs and Angelbreath were added as potential drops in Infernal Hordes. That dated change does not establish Infernal Hordes as a current or effective source; the patch 3.2.1 item reference lists Helltide Tortured Gifts and Tree of Whispers caches.

Blizzard’s patch 2.0 notes also recorded a fix for Angelbreath not dropping as often as intended. That confirms drop behavior has changed with patches, but it does not state a current rate.
