Diablo IV update 1.4.1 arrived on May 28, 2024. Its main changes made Masterworking more convenient, adjusted Hellborne damage in Helltides, and clarified that Greater Affixes cannot be rerolled. Blizzard also listed a range of gameplay, interface, performance, and stability fixes. This is a historical patch entry, not a source for the game’s current live version.

What changed for Masterworking?
The update streamlined access to Masterworking and its materials. Players could transmute Masterworking materials directly rather than first opening a Materials Cache. Once a character unlocked Masterworking, it became accessible to all characters across realms. Blizzard also reduced the gold cost of Masterworking.
What changed in Helltides?
Hellborne enemies began dealing additional fire damage with their attacks in Helltides. The notes separately list a bug fix for Helltide weather effects that could stop while players moved through affected areas; that fix is distinct from the Hellborne damage adjustment.

What did the Enchanting window clarify?
The Enchanting window now explicitly tells players that a Greater Affix cannot be rerolled. This is an interface clarification, not a change that makes Greater Affixes rerollable.

Blizzard also included general performance, stability, visual, and user-interface improvements.
What did Blizzard say about Echo of Lilith and Resplendent Sparks?
Blizzard’s developer note stated: “Anyone who has killed Echo of Lilith in any season will receive a Resplendent Spark this season.” It added that players would need to defeat her again in future seasons, and described the change as a retroactive reward for players who defeated Echo of Lilith that season but did not receive a Spark. This statement refers to the season discussed in the 2024 patch notes, not an ongoing promise for later seasons.
