For a practical high-FPS starting point in Delta Force, use fullscreen at your monitor’s native resolution and actual refresh rate, turn V-Sync off, and disable weapon motion blur and depth of field. Keep scene view distance high when possible so distant players stay readable; lower demanding effects and shadows in small steps if performance is below your target. These are starting settings, not a guaranteed FPS recipe: results depend on your hardware, resolution, game mode, and game updates.
Recommended starting settings
| Setting | Starting point | Why or when to adjust |
|---|---|---|
| Display mode | Fullscreen | A PCGamesN settings guide recommends fullscreen as its baseline. Source: PCGamesN, updated July 11, 2025. |
| Display and resolution | Select the display you play on; use its native resolution and actual refresh rate | PCGamesN recommends the monitor’s maximum refresh rate. Native resolution is a useful clarity baseline; lower resolution only if you need more performance and accept a softer image. |
| V-Sync | Off | Both the PCGamesN baseline and a 2026 independent guide recommend disabling it. Switchblade Gaming, September 28, 2026. |
| Frame rate limit | Start with unlimited; compare with a cap near your display refresh rate if delivery feels uneven | PCGamesN recommends unlimited. A refresh-rate cap is an option to test on your own PC, not a universally established optimum. |
| Weapon motion blur | Off | Reducing blur can make movement and targets clearer. |
| Depth of field | Off | Disabling it avoids deliberate focus blur during play. |
| Scene view distance | High, if performance allows | A 2026 independent guide recommends keeping it high to preserve distant-player visibility. Treat this as third-party advice, not an official developer prescription. |
| Other expensive graphics details, effects, and shadows | Reduce selectively if you miss your FPS target | Lower one setting at a time, then recheck both performance and visibility. The right trade-off varies by system and game mode. |
| FOV | Use the value you prefer; PCGamesN’s baseline is 120 | FOV affects how much of the scene you see and how large distant objects appear. The guide’s value is a starting point, not a universal competitive advantage. |
Menu wording and available options can change between patches. Check the current in-game settings after updates; the official Delta Force website surfaced basic-settings and technical-support material dated September 18, 2026, but its detailed recommendations could not be confirmed here.
Tune for your PC instead of copying an FPS claim
Make changes in a repeatable order. Use the game mode and map you actually play, and compare average FPS with 1% lows or frame-time consistency when those readings are available. Also judge distant-player clarity, visual quality, and control feel: a higher average alone does not capture every trade-off.
- Set the display baseline. Choose fullscreen, the intended monitor, native resolution, and its actual refresh rate. Turn V-Sync off.
- Remove distracting blur. Turn weapon motion blur and depth of field off.
- Measure before changing quality. Play the same type of match or scene and note average FPS and lows, plus any stutter or visibility problems.
- Lower demanding options one at a time. If you are below your target, reduce effects, shadows, or other costly details, then repeat the check. Keep scene view distance high if distant targets become harder to read.
- Compare frame caps. Test unlimited against a cap near your monitor’s refresh rate. Keep whichever provides the steadier delivery and control feel on your system.
- Retest after updates. Patches can change performance or settings behavior, so repeat the comparison in the mode and map that matter to you.
Should you use DLSS, FSR, or XeSS?
A 2026 independent guide recommends a 100 render scale with Quality-mode DLSS, FSR, or XeSS where supported. Treat that as an option to evaluate, not a guaranteed performance gain: the guide’s precise performance claims do not have a fully disclosed benchmark method. Check image sharpness and latency on your own PC, and use only an upscaler supported by your hardware and current game version.

What FPS can you expect?
There is no dependable universal FPS number for a settings list. As one attributed reference point, PCGamesN reported 134 FPS average and 74 FPS 1% low at 1080p, 118 FPS average at 1440p, and 71 FPS average with 47 FPS 1% low at 4K. Those results came from its test system—Intel Core i7-11700F, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 12GB, 32GB DDR4-3200, MSI B560 motherboard, and Windows 11 64-bit—and should not be treated as expected results for other PCs. PCGamesN’s guide and test details.
Steam’s listed system requirements are a compatibility baseline, not an FPS target. Its minimum specification includes Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel Core i3-4150 or AMD FX-6300, 8 GB RAM, a GTX 660, AMD HD 7870, or Intel Arc A380, DirectX 12, broadband internet, and 88 GB storage. The recommended listing calls for an Intel Core i5-6500 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X, 16 GB RAM, a GTX 1060 5G, RX 5500 XT, or Intel Arc A580, DirectX 12, and 88 GB storage. Meeting either list does not promise a particular frame rate. Steam’s Delta Force support listing.

Choose a balance between clarity and performance
- If targets are hard to see: Keep scene view distance high and disable blur effects before sacrificing resolution or visibility-related detail.
- If performance is below your goal: Reduce demanding effects and shadows incrementally, measuring after each change rather than switching everything to its lowest value at once.
- If frame delivery feels inconsistent: Compare unlimited FPS with a refresh-rate cap and assess lows or frame-time consistency as well as the average.
- If the image looks too soft: Revisit resolution and upscaling choices; a performance improvement is not useful if the loss of clarity undermines play.
