Delta Force did not make its original Q1 2025 console target. The developer delayed the console build for more work on controller balance and interaction compatibility; the game later launched on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 19, 2025.
Why was Delta Force’s console release delayed?
In a March 3, 2025 Q&A, the Delta Force team said the console version needed more time because its overall user experience—particularly player input—was not yet up to the team’s standards. The team specifically cited controller balance and interaction compatibility. It said it wanted to fine-tune the build rather than release an unpolished game. Read the official Delta Force Q&A.
“The console version was shaping up nicely, but we feel that the overall user experience, especially player input, including controller balance and interaction compatibility, hasn’t yet met our standards.”
The Q&A is attributed to the Delta Force team; it does not identify an individual speaker.

No. Q1 2025 was the developer’s planned window, later postponed in the March 3 Q&A. The actual PS5 and Xbox Series X|S release followed on August 19, 2025. The Q1 date is therefore useful as part of the delay timeline, not as a current upcoming-release date.
