Yes. Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 launched on Steam on February 12, 2026, in a surprise arrival described at the time as a shadowdrop. These are PC releases of the existing games, not remakes. Capcom is the publisher, and Steam credits Capcom and GOG.com as developers.

Steam’s product description for Dino Crisis 2 lists English and Japanese localizations, Easy difficulty, and the Dino Colosseum and Dino Duel modes. The same Steam page sets up the sequel with this copy: “The game takes place in the world of the Cretaceous Period…” Its story premise says, “A year has passed since the operation to retrieve Dr. Kirk.” The listing also describes Regina and Dylan and expanded weapons.
How do the games differ?
The listings point to different emphases rather than establishing which game is better: the sequel highlights its Cretaceous setting, two protagonists, expanded weapons and additional modes. Both are separate games in the series; the sequel’s product page frames its story as taking place a year after the operation to retrieve Dr. Kirk.

Does the Steam release use DRM?
Steam identifies The Enigma Protector as third-party DRM on Dino Crisis 2’s page and says a third-party EULA is required. In February 13, 2026 coverage, PC Gamer reported that both Steam editions use Enigma Protector.

Its stated conditions for that offer say activation and play require an internet connection and valid Steam account, and that keys are region-limited and cannot be refunded or reissued.
