The “Disconnected From Server” message in Fall Guys does not identify a single cause: it could involve an active service issue, your connection, or device settings. Check Epic’s live service status first; if there is no reported problem, work through the local connection checks below, then send support the relevant diagnostics if you still cannot connect.
What the error means
The message alone does not tell you whether the problem is on Epic’s side, on your device, or somewhere along your network connection. Epic groups connection problems into several categories—including failed login, matchmaking or match connection, and party joining—rather than assigning every disconnect one cause. Its separate guidance for “Connection to Server Timed Out, Please Check the Settings and Try Again” says that related error can indicate a server issue, but that does not establish that every disconnect means an outage.
Start with the Epic Games status page. If it shows a known issue, follow the status updates and Fall Guys’ official social channels rather than changing device settings in response to a service problem.
Try these connection checks in order

Test a wired connection
If you are playing over Wi-Fi and your device supports Ethernet, connect it with a cable and try again. Epic recommends testing a wired connection in place of wireless. This can help identify a Wi-Fi-related problem, but it is not a guaranteed fix: a wired connection does not rule out a service issue or other network problems.

Check your device’s date and time
Epic says the clock on your PC or console must be accurate for Epic Games to connect to its servers. Verify the date, time, and time zone using the instructions for your platform: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch.
-
Review firewall or antivirus rules on PC
A firewall or antivirus configuration can block Fall Guys. Check whether the game is allowed and, if needed, add it as an exception using the security software’s own settings. Do not turn off your firewall or antivirus wholesale as a troubleshooting shortcut. These controls are principally relevant to PC; consoles do not expose identical settings.

Consider changing DNS only after the earlier checks
Epic lists DNS adjustment as an option that may improve connectivity, and links instructions for Google Public DNS and Cloudflare DNS. Changing DNS is optional and is not a guaranteed remedy for this error. Follow the instructions for your device and network, and note your original settings so you can restore them if needed.
Should you change your matchmaking region?
Epic’s matchmaking guidance recommends your own region or Automatic for better performance. Trying another region may help when matchmaking is difficult, but a farther-away region can increase latency or lag. Treat a region change as a cautious test—not a confirmed fix for a server-disconnection message—and switch back if play becomes less responsive.
If you still get disconnected, contact Epic support
If the status page shows no issue and the connection checks do not help, contact Fall Guys support with details that let support investigate the specific failure. Epic asks players to provide information such as:
- Your platform or device type, country, and the date and time the error occurred.
- The steps you have already tried and your game/support ID, or Steam ID if applicable.
- On PC, DxDiag and MSInfo files, along with game logs.
- Ping-command results and a screenshot of a speed test.
- A video of the issue, if available.
Use Epic’s connection troubleshooting guide for the current instructions and support options. A community report of the same wording, including one from a player using Ethernet, is not enough to establish a widespread problem or diagnose an individual connection.
