The cited current PvE value is therefore 20%. Bungie’s latest major patch notes, Update 9.7.0, dated June 9, 2026, list no later Well damage-buff change; smaller maintenance patches may still follow.
What damage buff does Well of Radiance give?
In PvE, the applicable Radiant damage bonus is 20%. Bungie’s January 16, 2025 update lowered the PvE Radiant bonus from 25% to 20% and explicitly said, “Well of Radiance damage bonus remains unchanged.” The change to Radiant’s general PvE value did not, according to Bungie, reduce Well’s damage bonus.

This percentage is specifically supported for PvE. The cited tuning note does not establish a PvP percentage, so 20% should not be treated as a confirmed value for every game mode.
What happens when you leave the Well?
Well of Radiance is a healing and empowering rally point, but its damage effect is not limited to standing inside its area. Bungie’s May 22, 2024 ability-tuning preview says players receive Radiant for 8 seconds after exiting the Well’s area. That lets players retain the Radiant effect briefly after moving away from the circle.

Has a later update changed the buff?
Bungie’s Update 9.7.0, dated June 9, 2026, is described as its final major patch-notes article and does not list a change to Well of Radiance’s damage bonus. Bungie notes that smaller maintenance patches may still follow, so this is the latest major-patch-supported status rather than a guarantee against a future hotfix.
