Spoilers: Neither Huggy Wuggy’s nor Kissy Missy’s death is confirmed in Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5. The Prototype attacks both, and the chapter leaves their final fates unresolved.
What happens to Huggy Wuggy and Kissy Missy?
In a late-game encounter, the Prototype attacks Huggy and Kissy. The scene is dangerous and suggests both may be gravely hurt, but the accounts of the ending do not establish that either character dies. Some summaries interpret the attack as fatal; the distinction is that an apparent or presumed death is not a confirmed outcome.
Huggy Wuggy
MOB Entertainment describes Huggy as being “in hot pursuit” of the player during the chapter (official Chapter 5 description). In the ending accounts, the Prototype impales him and throws him aside. One account says Huggy is still moving and lifts his head before the player has to flee. That leaves him seriously attacked, but does not confirm his death.
Kissy Missy
MOB introduces Kissy as an ally alongside Poppy (official news page). During the ending, she intervenes and is attacked by the Prototype. One published account says Giblet later does not know what happened to her. Her condition appears grave, but the scene and reported aftermath do not confirm that she dies.

Why do some summaries say they died?
The attack is severe, and the scene cuts away without showing a definitive resolution for either character. Some explainers treat that as proof of death; others describe both fates as unclear. The ending evidence supports the latter as the careful answer: Huggy and Kissy are left in peril, and neither survival nor death is confirmed. Speculation about what may happen in a later chapter should not be mistaken for established canon.
