The terms do not explain how often Supercell uses this right, how it measures inactivity, or whether it sends advance notice.
What Supercell’s 180-day policy means
Supercell’s Terms of Service state: “SUPERCELL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE ANY ACCOUNT THAT HAS BEEN INACTIVE FOR 180 DAYS.” Read Supercell’s Terms of Service.
“Reserves the right” describes an action Supercell may take, not an automatic deletion deadline. The clause does not say every account is terminated on day 180, define what counts as inactivity, or promise notice. The reviewed official Clash of Clans support pages do not provide a separate automatic-deletion schedule.
The terms also describe other grounds for limiting, suspending, terminating, modifying, or deleting accounts, including suspected breaches of the terms or actual or suspected illegal or improper use. Those are separate from the inactivity clause. The terms warn that termination may mean losing access, benefits, and virtual items without compensation. Will you lose your village if you stop playing?
The policy establishes a 180-day termination right, not a guaranteed outcome for every player who takes a break. The available official information does not establish whether or how routinely Supercell applies that clause to Clash of Clans accounts, or whether it contacts players beforehand. If your village is missing when you return, try account recovery rather than assuming inactivity caused its deletion.
How to recover an old Clash of Clans account
If it was connected to Supercell ID
- Open Clash of Clans and go to the in-game Supercell ID (SC ID) menu.
- Log in using the email associated with that Supercell ID. Supercell says access to the linked email can let you sign in and regain your progress.
If it was not connected to Supercell ID
Contact Support through the game. Supercell may ask for account details to check that you own the village. Follow the recovery guidance in Supercell’s account access help.

Inactivity is not the same as requesting deletion
A player-requested deletion is a separate process. If Supercell accepts the request, the game account is permanently closed and deleted, including its progress and in-game currency, whether paid for or not. Supercell’s guidance directs players to continue through Supercell ID; if the account is not connected to Supercell ID, contact in-game Support. This explicit deletion process does not show that an inactive account has been deleted. Read Supercell’s account-deletion guidance.
