Dying Light: The Beast was released on September 18, 2025. PC Gamer reported that it launched at 9 a.m. PDT that day, which was 16:00 UTC. The date changed twice before launch: Techland first set September 18, moved it to September 19 for additional polishing, then moved it back to September 18.

When did Dying Light: The Beast come out?

Dying Light: The Beast came out on September 18, 2025. Techland announced that date on June 7, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5 Pro, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The final date is also shown on the PlayStation Store listing.

What time did Dying Light: The Beast launch?

PC Gamer reported a launch time of 9 a.m. PDT on September 18, 2025. PDT is UTC−7, making that 16:00 UTC on the same date. The UTC figure is a time-zone conversion of PC Gamer’s reported time, not a separate time Techland published.

Techland posted an official global launch-time schedule on September 12, 2025, but the regional entries appear in an image rather than readable text on its launch-time post. The associated support page also labels a global launch-time map. Without readable entries, specific local unlock times beyond the reported PDT time should not be inferred.

Why did the release date change?

Techland first announced September 18, 2025, then changed the date to September 19 on July 25. The studio said it wanted four additional weeks for polishing, including gameplay balance, UI clarity, physics, cutscenes, and animations. In its July 25 announcement, Techland wrote: “To honor this promise, we’ve made the decision to move the release date to September 19, 2025 to allow for extra polishing work.”

On September 12, Techland announced that the release would move forward again to September 18. The same post said more than 1 million players had secured a copy before launch; that was Techland’s own reported figure, not an independently audited sales result.
