Where to find Dying Light 2 save files on Windows
Use the path for the launcher you use to play. Paste it into File Explorer’s address bar, replacing any placeholders with your actual folder names.

Finding the Steam folder and account directory
If the Steam path does not open, find the Steam installation folder first. The default is usually under C:Program Files (x86)Steam, but a custom library or installation location changes the path. In userdata, open the numeric folder for the Steam account/profile you use, then continue through 534380remoteout.
Opening the Epic Games save folder
Press Windows+R, enter %userprofile%Documentsdying light 2outstorage, and press Enter. If you use Windows with a different active account, the Documents path will resolve for that account.

Back up a save before changing anything
Techland recommends creating a manual backup if you are concerned that progress is not transferring to cloud storage correctly. Copy the relevant save folder to a separate location before editing, replacing, or deleting files. A separate location can be another folder or storage device; you do not need to buy a new device.
Techland warns that deleted or corrupted save data may not be recoverable without a manual backup: “Unfortunately, there is no way to retrieve deleted save data (or fix a corrupted save file) if you have not created a backup copy manually.” Techland Support: Lost or deleted save files / character / progress / account.

Where to find the configuration folder
PCGamingWiki lists the Windows configuration folder as %USERPROFILE%DocumentsDying Light 2outsettings. This is a secondary-reference path, not one confirmed by Techland’s save-location page. The official support material reviewed here identifies nearby outlogs and outdumps folders, but does not establish a particular settings filename.
If you inspect or edit a settings file, make a copy first. Do not assume changing a file will resolve a specific problem. For logs when contacting support, Techland points Windows users to %userprofile%Documentsdying light 2outlogs. Techland’s log-file instructions explain the official log location.

What about PlayStation and Xbox saves?
The cited Techland save-location articles document Windows PC paths, not console folders or console backup procedures. Do not apply the PC paths to PlayStation or Xbox. Use the current support guidance for your console platform to manage or back up console saves.
