Rainbow Six Siege supports automatic cross-progression across supported platforms. Use the same Ubisoft account on each platform and link each platform account to it; some in-game content is shared after you launch the game on both platforms. Cross-progression does not necessarily include access to the game itself on the new platform.
How Siege cross-progression works
Cross-progression syncs eligible saved progress and content across linked platforms. Crossplay is different: it lets players on supported platforms play or matchmake with one another. Having one feature does not explain the rules of the other. Ubisoft describes both features separately.
What transfers between platforms?
Ubisoft’s current support page says the following items are shared when earned or purchased in-game, while warning that not all content carries over:
- Alpha, Bravo, and Event Packs
- Boosters
- Operators
- Operator and gear customisations
- Weapon customisations
- Battle Pass rewards and tokens
- R6 Credits and Renown
Ubisoft’s cross-progression guidance recommends checking that the game is installed correctly if content appears to be missing.

Progress and records with special rules
Ubisoft’s detailed synchronization article, published November 22, 2022 for the Year 7 Season 4 rollout, describes these rules:
- Renown from platforms is combined.
- Operators and cosmetic items are shared without duplicates.
- Battle Pass progress uses the furthest progress between platforms.
- Achievements and trophies remain specific to each platform.
- Rank and skill data are shared within similar platform groups; PC and console remain separate.
These are the category-level rules in Ubisoft’s 2022 synchronization explanation. For a current account-specific issue, consult Ubisoft Support.

How to set up cross-progression
- Sign in to the Ubisoft account you intend to use across platforms.
- Open the Ubisoft Account Information page and check Linked accounts. Link the relevant platform accounts to that same Ubisoft account. Ubisoft also says you can link accounts by launching a game and signing in to Ubisoft Connect.
- Launch Siege on both platforms while signed in with the linked accounts. Ubisoft says some in-game content is shared after the game has been launched on both platforms.
Ubisoft’s account-linking guide warns that a platform account may already be linked to a different Ubisoft account. If you need to connect it to another Ubisoft account, contact Ubisoft Support rather than trying to unlink or change accounts without checking the guide; linking changes can have lasting effects.
Does progress transfer from Xbox to PC, or between other platforms?
Yes, Siege supports cross-progression between supported platforms, including transfers such as Xbox to PC, provided the relevant platform accounts are linked to the same Ubisoft account. The exact eligible content is subject to Ubisoft’s transfer rules, and PC and console rank and skill data are not combined into one group under the detailed synchronization explanation.

Do you need to buy Siege again on the destination platform?
Cross-progression makes eligible saved data available; it does not necessarily grant a game license on another platform. Ubisoft’s general rule is that progression is available on linked platforms where you own the game, and that can mean buying the game more than once. Availability varies by title and platform, and Ubisoft’s general guidance does not give a complete current purchase-entitlement table for every Siege platform or edition. Check the relevant platform store and Ubisoft support information before relying on access to a copy you own elsewhere. Ubisoft’s cross-progression and in-game-content guidance explains the ownership caveat.
