The North American Square Enix Store listing describes a Collector’s Edition set with a physical Standard Edition game, two digital content groups, and three physical collectibles. The Digital Deluxe Upgrade and Early Bird Bonus DLC are distinct; check the selected platform and avoid buying DLC already included with a set.
Which editions are covered by the official listing?
The official North American Square Enix Store page describes a Collector’s Edition set, not a complete lineup of every retailer’s current digital and physical offers. Its listed contents are the clearest edition breakdown available here. The listing’s preorder wording refers to a past offer: the game’s February 5, 2026 release date has passed, so it should not be read as confirmation that the set is still available to order.
The game launched on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Microsoft Store and Steam, according to Square Enix’s September 12, 2025 announcement. The North American physical set listing names PS5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S. It does not list a PC physical format, so do not assume the PC version comes in this physical set.

The physical game and physical collectibles ship together. The store says the set does not include an outer box. It says digital items are distributed by email by the game’s release date; that is the listing’s stated distribution method, not a claim that a new preorder is open now.
Physical collectibles and Steelbook format
The Steelbook comes in a disc version for PlayStation and Xbox and a game-card version for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The store says the set includes the version matching the selected platform. If you are comparing listings, confirm that platform choice before ordering.

The store describes the Medium Slime plush as polyester, approximately 14 × 15 × 13 cm. The ship-in-a-bottle figure is a finished display piece that requires no assembly, approximately 28.5 × 14.5 × 12.5 cm; its listed materials are PVC, ABS, and PC, with an ABS/EVA stand. The Steelbook materials are listed as tin and PP.

What is in the Early Bird Bonus DLC?
The Early Bird Bonus DLC lists Trodain Togs for the Hero and three Seeds of Proficiency. These are separate from the Digital Deluxe Upgrade’s contents, although both digital groups are included in the Collector’s Edition set listing.
Square Enix warns that some DLC items can also be obtained through game progression and that additional DLC sets or items may be sold individually after launch. Check the contents of any version or add-on you are considering so you do not pay twice for content you already have.

- Choose the platform and format. Confirm whether the listing is for Switch, Switch 2, PS5, or Xbox Series X/S, and check that the Steelbook variant matches the disc or game-card format. The publisher also lists PC via Microsoft Store and Steam, but the North American physical set page does not specify a PC physical edition.
- Compare included digital content. The official Collector’s Edition set lists both the Digital Deluxe Upgrade and Early Bird Bonus DLC. If buying a separate game or add-on, compare its item list against those names before checkout.
- Check live price, stock, and country. The official pages cited here do not establish current price, inventory, or availability by country. Verify the live retailer listing for your region and platform rather than relying on past preorder language.
Game and release details
Square Enix describes a story beginning with the young fisherman’s son from Estard and his childhood friends discovering the Shrine of Mysteries. They travel to the past and uncover lands sealed away by a malevolent force. The official game page presents the game as available now.
Among the changes Square Enix highlights are hand-crafted, diorama-like art direction, a streamlined story, new vocation abilities, adjustable battle speed and auto-battle, field strikes that let players hit weaker monsters pre-emptively, and “Moonlighting,” which lets a character use two vocations at once. These are publisher-described features; the edition listing itself does not establish independent assessments of how they affect play.
